5-in-1 Can, Jar & Bottle Opener, Lid-Lifter Tool Gadget, Grey

I bought one of these for myself. It's a brilliant piece of equipment for the kitchen. My elderly Mam has started to struggle with her hands opening plastic screw top bottles, opening cans, etc... I bought a second one for her & it makes life so much easier. A well engineered, & very handy kitchen implement.

Bloody Brilliant! Purchased this can opener because I’ve had a lot of troubles opening squared tins because the manufacturers aren’t scoring the cans properly so they keys and or ring pulls work properly (been opening these since the 70’s, it’s not a lack of skills that are the issue). After many attempts at using the keys on corned beef and other square tins and failing to open the cans with my traditional top piercing can opener. It typed into Google that I needed a can opener that opened square tins. This was one that popped up. When I scanned through the product description it didn’t show it opened square tins. But I bit the bullet and purchased. This is so easy to use, it’s metal stuck onto plastic so I’m not sure about the durability for the longer run. The pincers remove the lid really easily. I’m impressed.

Easiest and best can opener I've ever used. Plus, it opens plastic carbonated drinks bottles, breaks the seals on stubborn jars, opens ring pull cans easily and has a bottle opener as well! I've lost track of the number of cheap AND expensive can openers I've gone through over the years, so finding this amazing item is a dream come true. No sharp edges on the cans or the lids, and because it doesn't use a blade to slice the can open, nothing ever comes into contact with the contents of the tin, so hygiene wise, it's unbeatable. It's also the smoothest and easiest can opener I've come across and has passed the one test that separates the cheapo openers from the best... the metal pies in the tins from the brand that sounds like "Ray Mentos" - these things destroy most can openers, but are easily tamed by these fantastic Swiss creations! I can't say enough good things about this multi-opener from Kuhn Rikon. If you suffer from arthritis and struggle with bottles, jars and cans, this will help immensely. It's SO easy to use and is very well designed and thought out, from the extra leverage it gives when opening a really tight plastic bottle top, down to the little button-operated mini pliers that grip and lift the can lid away and lets you drop it straight in the bin with no mess. Would make a very welcome gift for anyone, I'm sure.

I'm disabled and find this to have been a big help when it comes to opening cans and pulling back tabs, which are both things I usually struggle with. I've only knocked off a star because I've had a few cans where the opener didn't work the first time, so its efficacy isn't super consistent. Also be aware that, since it's of a good quality, it is much heavier than most can openers. The bottle opener on top is also very useful.

The best multi-purpose tin opener than I have used. It's easy to use, easy to clean, easy to grip and it cuts cleanly. It's my first safety can opener and I really like them. The only thing is I wouldn't recommend for someone with arthritis or hand issues because the rotations can put a bit of pressure on the hand and wrist, but nothing too serious.

This is the best can opener I have ever had. So easy to use and you don't even noticed you have opened the can.

arrived next day and as required - this is a replacement for the same one i already have, this is a great opener which I got on QVC at double the price, but worth it mine is many years old now and has been slipping. so ordered this replacement would very much recommend there are no sharp edges and it is a bottle opener for beer and a plastic water bottle opener, it also releases pressure in jars to make them easier to open too. great tool.

This is the best bottle opener I have ever used. Clean and effortless. But as a can opener it is average at best. Hates Lidl cans to the point my old opener was necessary. Hit and miss on cans.

This is by far the best can opener that I've bought. It works extremely well. Highly recommended.

A great addition.

Das Teil ist super! Ich liebe Werkzeuge, die mehrere Funktionen in einem besitzen. Genau das erfüllt dieser Öffner. Er öffnet Dosen an der Schweißnaht, Ringdeckeldosen, Drehverschlüsse von Flaschen, Schraubverschlüsse auf Gläsern sowie Kronkorken. Die Dosen werden ohne scharfe Kanten geöffnet, man muss keine Kraft aufwenden, er nimmt nicht viel Platz in der Schublade ein und er bleibt sauber, weil es keinen Kontakt zu den Inhalten gibt. Ich öffne Fischdosen inzwischen nur noch mit dem Dosenöffner, nicht mehr am Ring, weil man sonst immer den Inhalt rausdrückt, bevor der Deckel komplett geöffnet ist. Mit dem Dosenöffner ist das eine saubere Sache. Er schafft auch Dosen mit abgerundeten Ecken ohne Probleme zu öffnen. Einzig der Preis ist ein wenig hoch. Dafür bekommt man aber ein wertiges Qualitäts- und Markenprodukt, was einen sehr stabilen Eindruck macht. Hier noch ein Tipp: Dosen mit festerem Inhalt wie Corned Beef o.Ä. öffne ich erst unten, ohne das Bodenblech abzunehmen, drehe die Dose um, stelle sie mit dem Bodenblech auf die Arbeitsfläche und öffne nun den Deckel. Dann muss man die Dose nur noch nach oben abziehen und hat den kompletten Inhalt ohne umständliches Löffeln und Rauskratzen vor sich stehen.
