My dogs are definitely having an easier time in their old age since I started them on Welactin. I can see that they are more mobile, and it seems like they have less pain getting around. The box comes with a small measuring spoon, but I ditched that after counting how long it took me to fill the spoon to their prescribed amount, and now I just squirt the oil directly onto their food for a four-second count. This makes it so I do not have to clean the spoon every day. So, my dogs love this product, and I love how it has helped them, but my only gripe is the flip top for pouring the oil. My first bottle had a top that you opened completely, and it was connected on one edge. The inner cap had a hole in the center, so I could dispense the oil and then flip the top back on to store the bottle. It was nice and easy, and there was no spillage or dripping during the pouring process. My latest bottle has a top where you push down on one end of the cap, and the cap opens on an angle. The oil comes out on the one side of the cap instead of from the middle like my previous bottle, and I have found that this causes a lot more dripping when I pour the oil into their food. I now have to rinse the bottle every night, which is wasting product and causing a bit of a mess. I will continue to order Welactin, as it has made a big difference for my pugs, but I hope to get the old cap next time. If i do, I will keep it for any future bottles that come with the angled dispensing cap.

This has been a game changer for my dog's well-being. I appreciate that it supports heart health, immune system, and kidney function all in one. Have used about half a bottle and Abby’s coat definitely looks healthier, with more shine, softness and most importantly, less dandruff. She also seems to enjoy the flavor, with a healthy squeeze on her dinner kibble each day. I also appreciate the no mess cap and it doesn’t smell as fishy as some other brands we’ve tried in the past. (Not that Abby minded the extra fishiness, but I did, lol!!)

My 75 lb GSD has very itchy skin and had been on monthly injections for years. Because of her size, the cost became prohibitive. After trying many combinations of products, I finally switched her over to oral anti-histamine, Zesty Paws Allergy Relief supplement, and Nutramax Welactin Omega-3 Fish Oil Skin and Coat Health Supplement Liquid for Dogs. She likes the taste and eats it on her dry food once per day. She scratches infrequently now and I believe the Nutramax has contributed to her comfort. Not sure why the company thought providing a scoop to dispense a liquid was a good idea. The scoop is 6 mL and she gets 12 mL/day, so I just purchased some disposable 20 mL oral syringes to pull from the bottle and squirt on her food. I can use 1 syringe/bottle before throwing it away and it's so much easier and far less messy than the scoop. HINT - if you decide to try this, be sure to inject the same approximate volume of air into the bottle first and the liquid will fill the syringe with no leaking.

This is a great product for our dog — we’ve noticed a real improvement in her movement compared to other products we’ve tried. That said, the lid design really needs work. The product is measured in “scoops,” which doesn’t make sense for a liquid. You have to pour from a bottle with a shampoo-style lid into a tiny scoop, and it’s nearly impossible not to spill or overpour, wasting the product. They’ve updated the lid slightly, but the issue remains. When you set the bottle upright again, it drips down the sides, causing even more waste. We’ve started wrapping it in a paper towel, but that’s hardly a good solution.
