I needed one but two were contained in the package. The quality is awesome and I love working with this device. I gave the second vise-grip to my son. I love the quality and it is a breeze to work with. I highly recommend it for stabilization when pipe cutting. 10 out of 10 on this purchase.

This vise definitely holds the pipe in place without twisting in the vise when using a handheld electric pipe threader. Just make sure the pipe is firmly secured in the vise. I mean tight.

Just what I needed, not that i like threading pipe but it works great and saved money being able to reuse pipe for a racking system. also great at working with square metal

Cheaply made, I don’t expect it will last very long with extended use. Not recommended for professional use, may work for occasional user. I have not put it to work yet but with my experience of tools and the trades I can tell quality when I see it and this is of very low quality.

I bought this vise to hold 3/4 black iron pipe for wood pipe clamps. It costs the same price for a 10 foot pipe as it does for on 36" pipe, threaded at each end. I cut the 10 foot pipe into 4 pieces, but then two of them need to be threaded. My standard vise would not hold the pipe. This pipe vise did an excellent job and holds the pipe securely. I took a star away because, everything was loose, and one of the bolts was missing. It does mar the pipe as others said, but I don't care for my application.

It does clamp, but in the process leaves deep gashes in the pipe. For my use, which was building black-pipe furniture where aesthetics were important, it caused issues. I don't know if the gashes would structurally weaken the pipe too. The teeth need redesigned to prevent that. You can sort of solve it on your own by wrapping some rubber around the pipe, but seems like a redesign should be undertaken to stop this. I had pipe vices in the past that did not do this nearly as prominently.

They work well. You can't beat the price on these! The paint comes off easy, poor adhesion. They don't look pretty after a while but get the job done.

Es muy util a la hora de fijar en plomeria y acero sin embargo dependera de la longitud del mismo y de su espacio disponible. La mia venia sin tornillos para completar la accion de prensado en la bisagra pero colocando el tornillo adecuado no tendra problemas. Mi recomendacion es fijarlo bien en una mesa de trabajo para evitar que se mueva
