Admittedly I haven’t had these for more than a week so I can’t attest to durability, but it’s clear to see these are extremely well made, and Kupo is a brand I trust. The design of these bags is just so well thought out, they effortlessly sit and come off stands, and due to the way they spread out the weight, and with the COG nearer your fist, they’re also easier to carry than traditional bags. Speaking of, the handles are amazing, though you won’t be able to grab as many bags at one time because of them, that said you really shouldn’t be doing that anyway. There are situations where traditional sand bags are better suited, when you just need that mass of weight on things that aren’t traditional grip equipment, but in every other case, these are brilliant. They’re also super easy to fill, and the Velcro only opens if you want it to, you could further double stitch for extra assurance, like I said I can’t vouch for long term use, but I highly doubt these are going to break open any time soon.

This is a durable bag that can be filled with all manner of items to create a weight. I use it as a counterweight for my junior boom stand. The capacity of this bag (35lbs) is probably higher than you'll realistically need for most scenarios, but given that you can easily adjust the amount of weight as needed by adding or removing material from the pouches, I'd rather just have a few higher capacity bags that I can add weight to in a pinch than have a lot of smaller ones. It just reduces the number of things I have to deal with. That being said, the lighter versions of these are also excellent in their build quality so buy whatever best suits your use case.

Like most of Kupo's products, this is high quality. So far it does the job perfectly. The low profile ensures that the bag does not make contact with the floor. This allows for the weight to do the job of holding the base down. Kupo does a great job paying attention to the details when it comes to lighting equipment. A bit expensive, but you get what you pay for here. Highly Recommend.
