Braun Replacement Clean & Charge Base for Pulsonic and Select Series 7 Shavers (types 5671, 5673, 5674, 5692, 5693, 5694, 5695, 5696, 5697 only)

Should have purchased sooner. I was a bit skeptical about the replacement base but this unit cleans much faster and more effectively than my old unit which has struggled in recent years with clogs and leaks. I never realized that one could just purchase the base as the shaver itself is just fine. Now I know and my much cleaner Braun shaver is happy.

Exact replacement and works perfectly. It doesn’t come with the electrical cord.

Old base was causing overflow of a new cartridge, but then again, it was 15+ years old. New base showed me just how bad the old one was!

Did not come with instruction manual,although it is not too difficult to figure it out.

Bottom line: 2nd one gone bad and counting. Background: I ordered the replacement as the original one died after 2 years of minimal use, i.e. once or twice a month. The cleaner's lights came on but nothing else worked. Then, the lights flashed an error code but no way to remedy it or repair the unit. Ordered 2nd unit thinking it would work and hold up. After about the same time, it, too failed. This time, the cleaner pump wouldn't work. Nothing appeared wrong. After checking connections and everything that could be faulty, nothing appeared wrong. It charges ok and the shaver runs but none of the cleaning fluid is pumped up through the head assembly as it should be. When working properly, it cleans nicely. Replacing the spent cleaner cartridges keeps the unit working properly and the heads clean. There is no warranty but we will contact Braun to see if they will replace the unit but after 2 years, not holding my breath. I actually have better results cleaning the shaver with some liquid hand soap, a soft brush, and gentle tap water, being careful not to get it into the shave body. Then a quick drying and application of Remington's "Shaver Saver" spray sharpens the heads. It should be noted that the cleaning fluid gets dirty long before the cartridge is spent and should be changed out sooner and are very expensive. The shaver is not as sharp after using the Braun cleaner then a simple cleaning as described above. The shaver is the 7 series and does a great job but Braun needs to revise their cleaners and their longevity. Not sure they are worth the effort but the shaver is high quality and works well. Not sure the cleaner is even necessary.

So much cheaper than a new razor: the Braun Replacement Clean & Charge Base for Pulsonic and Select Series 7 Shavers works perfectly for types 5671, 5673, 5674, 5692, 5693, 5694, 5695, 5696, 5697. And the black color gives it a nice modern look. While it doesn't have the quick clean option, it does exactly what it is supposed to do.

this is our salvation, our razor charger was stolen, I was looking for a replacement for a long time and finally found it and everything works great! I bought a separate cable and everything fits, thank you!

My old cleaner finally carts it but this new one is almost exactly the same. Remember to retain your old electric connector from the original unit as it’s not provided.

Nothing to dislike about this unit. Uses the charging cable that comes with your shaver. When in the cradle it trickle charges so no heat and over charging. Washes and dry's very well. Great unit.

Best way to keep your Braun Razor looking and working like new. Would not be without this Pulsonic Clean and Charge Base
