Good light. Better now.
My second one of these lights. The first lasted 3 years. Actually the light is still fine. The power supply quit working. The old one used a 56 volt power supply. Was going to just replace that but a suitable one was almost as much as the light. The new one uses a common 24 volt PS. Should be easy to replace if/when it fails. Seems like the build quality is better on the new one also. Lights the refugium on my reef aquarium well and grows chaeto like crazy.

Works great for Saltwater Aquarium Refugium
As others have posted, the power supply on mine is starting to go out. Time to reorder. This one lasted 4 years running all night when the tank above is dark. Grows cheato really well. Highly recommend this light, especially at the price, compared to the high-end specialty aquarium lights.

So far so great! Will update
Good color and good brightness. I had a ai prime light that went bad down in my refugium before in ordered this, (didn't feel like spending 200 plus on a refug light). I actually used the mount from the ai prime and it screwed right in the side of this light! If anyone is looking for a good mount it's a "ai prime flex arm mount" Unscrew the bracket on side of light and screw in the mount. The mount and be moved or "flexed" in any orientation you want it for your tank! Super easy and solid! I'll update on the long term use of this light later 4/20/24. I currently have it being controlled by my apex so it will be on 12 hours a day opposite of my display tank lights.

Works great for a fuge grow light
I picked this up for my IM 25 Lagoon to use as a grow light for some chaeto and it's working great. I 3D printed a mount for it that's like a frame for the front plate. I used some 2 sided heavy duty tape to mount the light to the frame and then the frame to the tank. I cut out a rectangle from the back vinyl covering on the tank so it could lined up with the second chamber of the filter. I put in a fuge basket, added some chaeto to the basket and put the light on a timer, opposite from my display lights. (runs at night). My chaeto has been growing great with this light Light doesn't put off much heat and is more than strong enough to grow algae Much cheaper here on Amazon than some of the places I found it for sale.

Get it!
I recently bought a couple of different LED lights on Amazon for the succulents I am growing for my wedding. This one was definitely my favorite of all the ones I bought. The succulents under it are growing at a significantly increased rate to when they were just on the window sill. There is no loud, obnoxious fan, the light does not get hot at all so it can be put very close to the plants without damaging them. The light it emits is purple-ish but more red than blue. It is brighter then the others I bought and easier to place/mount. I definitely recommend it to any indoor gardeners/house plants that need a little extra light in the winter. I plugged it into a timer so that it would self-regulate the amount of light they get, but the switch on the cord makes it easy to flip on/off manually if you don't want to purchase any additional hardware (though you can get an outlet timer for around $5 at Home Depot).

Replacement for bulb
Wanted to see if this could be a good replacement for Kyson grow lights โ I like them for their wide arc, small size, and light weight, but two have burned out early and the seller is being kind of a pain, so, I need something more stable. The jury is still out on whether this is going to hold up. I guess if I don't update my review in over a year, assume is well. But for now, I'm rating it 5 stars because: 1. It's super bright. It shines on a ~ 3 ft x 3 ft square and according to my light meter, those houseplants are getting ~ 100 - 150 FC with the lamp 2 ft away from them. 2. If you don't have one of those metal hardware store lamps already, it's cheaper to just get this. (2/3rds of the price of a bulb + lamp) 3. It has that cool handle thing so it's super easy to attach almost anywhere. I really want this to work out! If it doesn't burn out early I'll definitely get more.

Excellent light for refugiums!
(Amy's husband here) I bought this as a grow light for the chaeto in my small refugium. On the first day, the chaeto was between the size of a golf ball and a tennis ball. After the first week, it doubled in size. After the second week, it was triple in size from the original. After the third week, it's about ten times the size of the original! I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't try to rotate it with a pair of chopsticks to give it even light. The chaeto is thick, heavy, and dark green. The light just plain works. It gets rather warm, but the heavy metal body and finned design allow it to diffuse heat. The controls are basic, consisting of a switch on the power cord, but I don't need anything more because I have it hooked up to a WiFi power bar that is set to the opposite lighting schedule as my display tank. I only needed to use the kickstand on the light because I put it right up against the wall of my refugium rather than hanging it from above. If you stand up the light with the power plug on the bottom, the plug sticks out a little more than the body, making it rock a little, so you're better off standing the light upside down so that the plug is on top. Set up like this, the light is simple, stable, and perfect.

Useful light for saltwater aquarium sump tank
Thereโs no timer function in this device, it will be perfect if it comes along with timer . I use this light for my refugium sump tank for plant growth. It is very effective!
