I needed a dimmable indirect floor lamp that could illuminate the ceiling in an exam room in my ophthalmology practice. I bought one of these years ago for another room and it still works perfectly. Assembly is simple if you follow the directions. The light rotates through three brightness levels and then off by simply pressing the button on the side of the stand. The button actually illuminates when the light is off, making it easy to find in the dark. When on the brightest setting, the amount of light emitted is quite adequate. But more importantly, on the dimmest setting, it gives off the perfect amount of ambient lighting I needed in this room that is used for specialized testing. I like that the base is quite heavy, preventing the fixture from being top heavy, which should keep it from toppling over easily. And it gives off very little heat, even after it's been on all day, thus reducing the chances of a fire that can happen with older halogen-based floor lights. The fact that it uses very little electricity is just icing on the cake. Highly recommend!

Lamp is great for my studio - was easy to put together, the light is good, not bright white at full strength, softer… the only thing I dont like is the pole is a bit wobbly at the base, but the lamp stands straight… am buying another as I need more light on other side of room

Adding this torchiere light to the room elevated the atmosphere and created an inviting feel. Sturdy base and the on off touch control switch illuminates at night to make it easy to find in a dark room. This did not come with a remote control but I was not looking for that feature. It is more of an very faint gray than pure white

Just received. Lamp was easy to assemble. It’s a good weight; not too heavy but enough weight to make it sturdy. Very pleased with the brightness of the light and the ability to dim the light just by holding the power button. Also like the adjustable height and 3 yr warranty.

You cannot replace the bulbs on these lamps. According to the Q&A bot, the manufacturer claims these last 20 years with normal use. However, many users have reported the bulbs failing before then. I have 2, and the first started flickering when turned on after being 6 years old. It's in the living room and only used during evenings. The newer one started flickering upon turn on months later. It is in the bedroom (a room I work in) so it's on more than the older one. It can take around a minute for them to stop flickering and provide normal solid light. I won't be buying them again. It's wasteful.

A well made floor lamp with a sturdy semi-gloss, black powder-coated finish, that carries a 25-watt bright white LED bulb covered by a sturdy white translucent plastic cover. The lamp stands 69" high and comes with a three-year warranty from Brightech. It also comes in a white powder-coated finish. This lamp is a bit smaller than the old-style 71" Torchiere Halogen floor lamps still available from Amazon--those with the hotter bulbs that pose possible fire hazards. LED light bulbs emit no heat and pull low current, making them very energy efficient and safe to use. Be sure to follow the lamp's enclosed pictographic instruction sheet to ease your assembly. The light pole's metal threads make screwing each section together quick and easy. You'll need a small Philips-head screwdriver to tighten the bottom silver screw that secures the assembled lamp to its 6 lb weighted base. I suggest assembling this lamp on a flat work table, if possible, using several layers of bed blanket (or other padding) to protect the lamp's powder-coated finish while assembling. Note: when connecting the wire sections you should carefully "round fold" each of the longer wiring harness sections before tucking them inside the ends of each pole section (i.e., below the threads) as you hand-tighten them. Be careful not to severely crimp these longer wiring lengths when doing so. The push-button adjustable light-level switch will take a little practice. Play with it while referring to the lamp's operating instructions, and you'll get the hang of it. Note: LED bulbs are supposed to last for many, many hours. I suspect the light switch will fail long before the bulb actually burns out, so no worries (this lamp's white translucent bulb cover is secured in place by multiple screws, possibly indicating "do not enter"). This lamp illuminates an average sized, middle class living room or bedroom with more than adequate light. In fact, later in 2017, I plan on buying two more of these lamps for other areas of my 2200 sq.ft. house.

Edit: After owning this for nearly two years, the LED bulb doesn't power on correctly. Turning the lamp on simply causes it to flash in 1 second intervals. So it's basically trash, now. Original review below. You might want to spend a little more money if you're looking for this style of lamp. These lamps are always meant to be assembled by the user, and this one is pretty poorly designed in that respect. It expects you to build it from the top down instead of the other way around. Why is this an issue? Because if it were assembled from the bottom up, the heavy base would hold it in place as you thread the cable through the different pieces. Since the lamp is assembled the other way around,I had to awkwardly position the assembled top portion on it's side in order to connect the cable to the base and attach the base. Having it on its side caused the thread on one of the sections of the lamp to become damaged, leaving the lamp flopping around. I had to solve this by wrapping tape around the thread so that it could get a tight grip. One of the connectors on the wire sections also had a pin that wasn't correctly inserted, so after assembling the lamp it wouldn't turn on. I had to take it apart to determine the issue and fix it before putting it back together. Anyone else would have returned this thing out of pure frustration. I'm used to messing around with this sort of thing, so I was able to get past the issues. Any one else, beware.

This lamp is exactly what I needed for ambient light in a guest room. The table lamp I have is great for reading, but I needed more and this torchiere is just the right size and brightness to reflect off the ceiling and add a soft overall light.

Ilumina muy bien, facil de armar

Excelente lámpara, muy bonito acabado, alumbra muy bien, es muy potente la luz y se puede graduar su intensidad, su botón de encendido se mantiene iluminado cuando la lámpara está apagada. La recomiendo ampliamente.

La lámpara da muy buena luz y ocupa poco espacio. Fácil para prender y apagar. No se puede regular la intensidad de la luz, pero eso a mi no me importó. La recomiendo.

Muy linda lámpara. He leído varias reseñas que mencionan que no es dimeable . Si lo es, sólo hay que mantener presionado el botón de encendido varios segundos.

Tiene una Iluminación excelente, la puse entre Sala, Comedor, Cocina. No tengo que encender ningún otro foco o lámpara.. Ilumina Toda el Área. Eso sí tomen en Cuenta Que NO ES REGULABLE, y solo tiene una tonalidad de luz. No es Blanca, ni Cálida.. es entre Ambas. Repito.. eso si ilumina muy Fuerte. Intensamente.
