My favorite awl to use for book binding. Feels good in my hand and gives me the ability to make tiny holes or larger ones depending on how far I go into the point of the awl. Great product that's lasted through a year of various book binding projects and I am sure will last me many more. I am pleased.

High quality
I’ve been looking for an awl for knotting silk. This is exactly what I’ve been looking for. The shorter length is perfect so I don’t poke my eye out. The diameter and the smooth steel make for perfect knots. I’m so pleased.

The first one I was supposed to receive in a box with another order but never got it. The second one they gave for a replacement I received it and I love it. It’s nice and pointy does what it’s supposed to do fairly good quality and arrived on time and it was inexpensive.

A very nice tool
Nice size for the quilting I’m doing. Beautiful point doesn’t snag fabric or poke through it— perfect for feeding small pieces under sewing machine foot. Pulls thread loops through easily without splitting the thread. Nice smooth handle. I’m very pleased with this tool.

I use it for punching holes in signatures for Coptic stitch bookbinding. It's very sharp (actually it went through my cutting mat. Oops) and doesn't flex under pressure.
