My GMC truck doesn't turn off 12-volt (cigarette lighter) ports. Even low-drain appliances like a Garmin GPS can eventually run down the battery when the vehicle is parked for a week or two unused. This was the perfect solution. Physical on/off switches cut power to each port independently. There's a small digital voltage display that stays on--I was concerned that might cause some battery drain (it might if the vehicle wasn't used for months at a time) but so far I haven't noticed any drain, and it's handy to see exactly the voltage of my truck's battery at rest and with the engine running. Also nice to have 2 ports when my GPS uses one full-time.

This 12v car splitter works pretty good. It has a hinge to allow you to tilt the plug receptacles to fit the dash or utility area. It is pretty firm. My only concern with the off/ on switch is as a toggle, you press the toggle button for each device but it's hard to tell if it is on or off. ( Check the device you are using to see if it is on...push the button the turn it on if you don't see your device working at first.) Packages nicely in a box with extra fuses. C Plug is also included as well as two USB ports. Nice!

Very functional , good Value, well thought out

Back in the day, [1960, s-1970,s] most American manufactured cars had a voltmeter [battery charge gauge]. Today it's a check engine light. This splitter/ voltmeter takes care of that for a few dollars. Tells you how the alternator is doing. A must have on older vehicles. Excellent.

Really good quality. I can fast charge 4 phones at once, 2 from both USB slots and two more from a fast charge adapter that I plugged into one of the lighter sockets. The other socket has my dashcam plugged in. Amazingly it all works! There are two buttons at the top that can cut power to half of the unit if you need to (the left button controls the left USB and left socket, and the right button does the other two). It feels solid, not cheap, and has a nice tight fit in both of it's sockets as well as it's own plug. I could do without the blue light and the power display number, but it's a cool feature I guess. And the best part is I can leave it plugged in when the car's off. It has a smart circuit that prevents power leaking through when the car is off so it doesn't drain the battery. Very useful so I don't have to keep unplugging and plugging all the time.
