These test strips are awesome! After about 3 hours I still wasn’t sure if I could breastfeed and I’m so glad I used these strips bc I still had some alcohol in my system. The strip turned one of the blue shades. I tested my milk once again that evening and the strip was completely white. I loved how easy it was to use and it was super effective!

Got these for my daughter who just had my 2nd Grandchild. She enjoys a glass or 2 of wine some evenings but was very concerned about the alcohol in the breast milk. She was super excited to get these strips & very happy with the results. Now she knows when to toss the breast milk and when she can feed it. The different levels are a great idea.

Great product. Easy to use and easy to travel with. Something to note: It takes a bit of digging to understand what to do if the strip turns blue after the 2min mark- it's voided. The reading only counts in the test window because it can be affected by it's surroundings/environment. This would be helpful to have in the instructions.

These strips are great because they give you an idea of the concentration of alcohol in your breastmilk so that you have an idea of when you need to test again. Make sure that you set a timer when you use them; the directions tell you to read results at exactly 2 minutes and disregard after 3. When I tested my milk at 2 minutes the strip was a light blue, but after 3 minutes it was a very dark blue. When I retested 3 1/2 hours later, the test strip was negative and stayed that way after 3 minutes. My take away is that when your milk contains any amount of alcohol, it will continue to darken after 2 minutes, leading you to believe that you will have to wait a longer period of time before yielding alcohol free milk.

I have read and heard all sorts of things about drinking and breastfeeding. I also pump for my kiddo so every drop of milk is precious and pumping and dumping would hurt my heart too much, but mommy also needs a glass of wine every now and again. Before finding these strips I would wait a VERY long time to pump to be absolutely sure my milk was alcohol free. These strips provide peace of mind and a proper estimation of how long to wait for my milk to be alcohol free. Like another reviewer, I did a control to start with diluted wine and sure enough that’s the dark blue strip. The white strip is a clean run of breast milk several hours after one glass of wine and the light blue one is what happens if you get hand sanitizer on then pad - beware. I freaked myself out about false positives. In summary - worth it for the peace of mind.

Seem effective. I think these are made better than another brand I tried and I like that the packaging shows the BAC % along with mg/dL. Recommended if you're breastfeeding and still like to drink sometimes. For me this eliminates Mommy guilt, because I know I am not passing any alcohol onto my baby when I feed him. 5 stars for that!

I primarily use these for middle of the night feedings to make sure my body has cleared any alcohol from the prior evening after baby went down for the night. I tested it once while drinking and got the 0.02% result, so I know they work. Every other time they've come up 0%, which had been great to ease my mind and to learn how long it takes my body to clear alcohol. Definitely very handy to have, would recommend.

The results take longer than 2 minutes. Sometimes after 10 minutes they show a different result.

Received 3rd April but expires next month, May. The expiry date should have been advised in the description.

Have used a few times now to test alcohol in my milk supply. At first I was nervous they would detect nothing no matter when I tested it so I did some trials to see how fast a glass or two of wine would leave my system, and it worked. This works great and timing sheet is handy for when to test again. Gives me peace of mind when nursing my son after I’ve decided to have a drink.
