Speedo equals better fit, performance, quality, and innovation. The summit square leg brief is a great fashion swimsuit with bold athletic color block striping. It features lightweight 4-way stretch fabric with a front zipper and snap closure. It offers the perfect technology combination for a hot day at the beach or pool because it has exclusive speedry water repellant coating that limits water absorption and dries quicker, and also features uv block the burn sun protection. It is designed for the recreational athlete or water enthusiast seeking both performance and comfort features and is ideal for swimming, hot tubbing, or sunbathing poolside or at the beach. Look and feel your best in or out of the water, while you play, train or win in speedo, the choice of champions.

Good basic suit
Construction is decent. Front seem and back seem are a little off so the button does not line up right under your belly button when the back seem is lined up. Not a huge deal but lost it a star. Colors are nice and vivid. Has an extra layer in the front so as to keep your junk more discreet. If you're tall and plan on wearing this up high closer to your actual waist, the legs will seem pretty short. Get in shape and wear it a little lower like in the pic, show off those lower ab muscles! Also, if you're thin like me, the legs won't be as snug as the very in shape dudes in the pictures. I will actually wear mine when bodyboarding under board shorts, almost like a liner. Then I can lose the board shorts and catch some sun or go for just a swim in this suit. Haven't had it long enough to tell you about durability.

Very happy!
I was on the fence about these, but now that they're here and I've tried them on, I'm really pleased.First off, I'm not a big Speedo fan - I find their briefs are not a good fit for me, and they're always more expensive. (I prefer Tyr, and have become very used to their brief suits, which I use for swimming laps in the pool, about 5 miles a week.)But I wanted a change, so I decided to try these. They are very form-fitting (which is key when swimming laps), but with the little bit of leg they're not as revealing as a traditional brief (not that I mind). The fabric is very soft and comfortable, and the color (I got Prism Violet) is great. My biggest concern was the size. I read that some people suggested to order a size up. In my case this was definitely not true. I have a 30" waist, I'm just under 5'8", and weigh about 140. I normally wear a small. And a small is what I purchased. The fit is terrific. Like I said, they're snug and form-fitting, but definitely not too tight. All in all, I'm very happy. Now we'll just have to see how long they last!

Nice trunks - careful with the zipper!
I like these for my hot tub/spa because they dry a lot faster than regular swim trunks - plus they're a little more "modest" than what you usually picture as a pair of Speedos.I usually wear a 32/33 waist and the Medium fits me fine....I wouldn't want the waist any bigger. They are a little more snug around the "junk" than you first expect, but you get used to it quickly and they aren't too "revealing".I haven't had an issue yet, but be sure to take your time and make sure everything is out of the way when you zip them up! I can see where having the zipper and snap closure gives these a better fit - just kind of strange to have a zipper on a set of swim trunks and that's why I took off a star....if the system allowed, I would have only docked them a half-star.

Perfect Fit - watch the stitching
I'm 35 and slowly regaining my swimming form after letting it go for a while. I'm finally getting fast enough again that board shorts are a noticeable drag, so I picked up this suit. I'm a 35 actual waist (wear 34 in most pants) and the L fits just snug enough. It would probably fit a waist another 2-3 inches bigger without being too tight. Overall the suit is comfortable and sleek, and I finally feel like I'm racing again. Seems like a quality product... cut and stitching are good.***UPDATE***Six weeks later, I've just noticed the crotch stitching is coming undone. At least two inches of it is unstitched and will need to be re-sewn. For what I paid, this is pretty lame.Only knocked it down from 5 to 4 because I have a good tailor who will fix this for cheap. Others might go lower. Still love the suit BTW, but caveat emptor.

33" waist...Large too loose
I'm mainly posting this for the size. People were saying order a size up, so I ordered a large.Tale of the measuring tape...my hips are 35", my waist is 33". I got the Prism Violet and I would need to use the drawstring to make it so the top of these trunks aren't loose. If I had to order them again, I would get a medium. But they are also shorter in the leg than I thought and I will stick with the other looser, traditional pair I ordered. I only deducted one star because they appear longer on the model than they did on me. I'm 6'4" if that helps anyone. If they fit you and you like this style, it is a solid swimsuit.

For leisure use only
This suit would be good for hanging about the pool or playing around in the water, but I wanted to use it for swim training. I really liked the design and colors of this suit but it just didn't suit my needs due to the button/zipper closure. It does say "fashion swimsuit" in the description but it also says for "recreational athlete" for "play, train or win".I have another pair of Speedo square leg shorts but the waist sizing for these are slightly bigger even though both are a med. There is a drawstring behind the button, but because the holes are kinda far apart, it makes the area around the button loose if it's a bit big on you. Sizing makes it hard to get a good fit.The button does not seem very strong/secure, I would imagine that it might pop off when diving or doing flip turns.

Great fit
I wear a 33 waist in jeans and a large in pants. Not to toot my own horn, but I also have a well rounded derrière and thicker thighs due to cycling and lifting. (Ladies looking to buy this for their significant other, don't bother asking for my number as I am already taken. jk jk)But on a serious note, the Large fit me perfect. There is no bunching up of the material. I can get down to a full squat an not worry about showing crack (though repeated squatting might eventually get you to the crack point). I also don't need to cinch down the drawstring in order to prevent it from falling off my waist, however, this is because of my body type. The only con is the drawstring, which I feel is rather long, but you can just cut it (making this con obsolete).

OK ONCE CORRECT SIZE WAS DETERMINED!
These are so much better than baggy swim shorts that drag you down and cling wet and cold around your legs for ages after exiting the water! However, at almost $50 - these are pricey! The sizes advertised are very odd? I am 5' 3" - 184lbs - and "large" were too small? When replaced with the "XL" they fitted me well . . . I do wonder how a "big" chap would fare?I would buy a "back-up" pair - but at this price, I will make do with one!
