My 85-year-old husband has used these for all walking and standing at the suggestion of his Physical Therapist daughter for 5 or 6 years. He likes them much better than a cane or 2, because they can be set to have the grip be higher (12” or more) than the handle on a cane, which encourages standing up straight and looking straight ahead. And, they fold up to fit in the overhead luggage bin on airplanes and trains. And, they’ve helped his arms strong.

They fit Montem trekking poles but I’m guessing they fit pretty much any other brand as well.

I lost one of these tips on a recent trip when the tip got wedged and I didn’t realize I pulled it off (not easy to do). These have the same nice snug fit as the original and same bottom. It is great these come in a 5 pack. Now I will travel with spares.

Arrived in anunlabeled baggie, with no way of knowing whether they are identical to the tips that were delivered with my trekking poles. They seem OK but I have yet to have to use them yet. I will never understand why they’re sold in a lot of five since there are two poles and the tips are likely to wear out pretty much at the same time..

While Hiking the Appalachian Trail this year (2019) the cheap rubber tip covers for trekking poles just weren't holding up to the rocks of new England. the Leki tips were available at outfitters, and held up better, but still wore out quick and were getting expensive quick. i decided to order these tips because they looked pretty sturdy and were designed similar to the Leki ones. one pair lasted me about 3 weeks through Maine's rocky wilderness. i consider that pretty good since the cheap ones only lasted a few days in the same terrain. Keep in mind i am using for 10 to 18 miles a day everyday, so i am really putting these tips to the test. also, they are longer and stay on my pole tips better than the cheap ones. overall i would recommend and buy them again

High quality product with one flaw. they have a sharp needle spike in each pole that I guess would be use for walking on ice . The spine wears through the rubber inserts for walking on sidewalks. The the spike wears through the rubber after a few weeks of use. . I figured how to remove the spike but the life of the rubber inserts is not very long requiring orders from Montem frequently
