Love the product but warning DO NOT buy the smaller version. I bought the original months ago but gave it away. Then when I bought another I bought the small because back then it was only ONE SIZE so I assumed my previously owned one was also a small… the small feels entirely too light and the edges are slightly sharper. IMO this makes the pain relief a lot harder to achieve. It’s so light you have to apply extra pressure but since the edges are sharper then extra pressure kinda hurts… But the original size one works wonders from what I remember.

If I’m being completely honest, this little tool is perfect. Surpassed my expectations (which were low, because of the price - baffles me how steel objects cost so little money). My boyfriend has a whole kit of, in my opinion, mostly redundant/unnecessary Graston-style, guacha-type scrapers, and at the end of the day, I only ever use one of the small ones (on my neck, all around, and traps). Since I like to take it with me when I travel, I decided to just get my own, and this one I bought is quite literally just perfect. I read the AI customer review conclusion before purchasing and the only downside risk seemed to be people complaining about discomfort from holding/gripping for extended periods, which I just assumed had to do with poor grip/posture/alignment awareness, and fortunately, I think that’s the case. If it hurts to hold it while using it, find a better way to hold it. And, you might be pressing too hard. My physical therapists have used this one me with very littler pressure that offered profound relief after whiplash syndrome from a car accident. This is a less-is-more type of thing, in my opinion. And be sure to scrape (gently) in both directions - they say this helps redistribute the cellular matrix/liquids before evenly. Also, if you have larger hands (I’m 5’6” female, so smaller hands), then maybe buy a larger one. I think the little rectangular cutouts are genius - they really help with grip and prevent the tool from progressively sliding out of your hands once you’re all gooped up with whatever lubricant you use (I use my homemade balm that has willow bark (aspirin), arnica, and St. John’s wort), like my boyfriend’s tool sans-cutouts does. It’s unbelievable how much relief I got from just one 5 minute pass, working on my own neck and traps. I highly recommend. And I was NOT paid or incentivized to write this review. Hope this helps!

After having many months of Physical Therapy after knee replacement surgery, I purchased this tool to perform my own PT on the scar tissue left over from the surgery. The results have been very positive as I am getting more and more flexibility in the knee. It is very easy to clean and is an effective tool for breaking up scar tissue post surgery. Make sure you have a PT specialist show you the proper way to use this device.
