I needed some wick for some candles I wanted to make from the scraps of other candles. I chose this because of the wick clips making this a better value than just wick by itself. The included wick holders aren’t the largest though, and I had a bit of trouble at first aligning them in a candle jar that was a bit too large for it. In the end they worked though once I got it balanced right. The wick is also just bare, without any wax already on it. It takes in the wax nicely though when pouring so it’s not a bit concern nor has the burn rate felt too fast or slow. I will buy again once I go through it all

This candle wicking is raw uncoated cotton which just burns up to ashes when lit as a candle wick. The wicking has to be coated and soaked with a solution and melted wax in order to be used which the kit does not offer. I feel it is not worth it. Just buy predicated and prepared candle wicking for your projects not this kit.

I have two wax warmers in the house that I have going all the time. Forever I used to just dump the used wax into an empty can and throw it away. Then a friend of mine showed me this brilliant idea. I use old pasta sauce or mason jars to set up the wick, and each night when I am done burning my wax warmer, I pour the liquid wax into the jar. Over the course of time (about a week and a half to two for a mason jar type candle), I end up with a whole new candle. It is not only a brilliant repurpose of used wax, but it allows me to have candles without buying anything other than this kit. Totally genius. And they look cool too.
