I was in need of some 18GA wiring for some projects. I appreciate the variety of colors because sometimes you need more than red and black. I didn't use the holes on the box, but the rubber bands around each spool do a great job of keeping the wire in place so you don't end up with a bird's nest in your bag. The wire feels solid and the insulation is thick and easy to strip. It doesn't feel cheap like other wire I've used in the past. It has served me well, and I plan on ordering more once I run out!

I use it for prototyping and making my projects permanent on prototype PCB’s. The wire also slides nicely into bread boards. If you have been trying to find the right wire for your electronic projects, I am quite sure you will not be disappointed with this wire, as the right wire makes the world of difference to your projects.

First thing: is it really silicone rubber? Yep, it seems to be based upon my "soldering iron test." It's very flexible as you would want for test leads and such. The stranded wire itself seems good - some sort of plated copper strands - and it takes solder nicely. The packaging is just fine, too. I don't know why other reviewers had a problem with this. The price is a bit more than I'd like to pay but it's a fair price I guess. Buy it; you'll be satisfied I'm pretty sure.
