Bravo!!!!! Perfect tension not soft soggy and not hard but bouncy snappy!

So happy I upgraded from the black velvet script brush size 2. I was not able to get nice fine lines at all with the black velvet brush and I thought I was the reason for this and not the brush. After 2 years I decided to try some more advanced brushes and I can't say how much I love this brush. It maintains a good tip and hold the expected amount of water for a liner brush. A million times better than the black velvet brush that doesn't hold its tip and holds almost no water. Very happy with my purchase.

Holds a good amount of watercolor, maintains its shape after many sessions and brush cleanings. Hasn't lost any hairs and is a good value for the price.

This brush is just a midline quality product, it delivers good value for a synthetic sable, and will serve you for a few years as such, synthetics are only as good as the material they are made from, and I have held a few in my days. This one is no different. The take away is that this hilt and construction is good. It won't fall apart on you the first time you wash it, Princeton makes quality products, and you can rely on getting one.

The round brush Princeton 4050 series size 6 I had ordered was received today, and was defective, and poor quality. I was very surprised. It is frayed and not in good shape. There is no pointed tip and it does not bounce back when touched. I did not use it and am in the process of returning it. It looks like a used brush with the tip cut off! Princeton brushes are amazing, so I think this may have been sent in error?
