Does this stick to the refrigerator?

Yes and no. This is basically a "sandwich" of two acrylic pieces held together by tiny but pretty powerful magnets. As a sandwich, it won't stick, but the individual sides of the small one I have (3.5" x 5") stuck quite readily when I took them apart to try it. I don't know about larger ones, but would guess the magnet size scales up and they probably would?

How does one hang this on the wall?

Yikes, the prior answers are unfortunately misleadingly pessimistic about whether or not this frame can be hung. It most certainly can be hung because it was designed to hang, and once hung (better get it level & straight), it won't budge 'off center' because you screw it into the wall. One of the photos in the description shows exactly how to hang the frame on the wall using screws at the four holes and wall anchors. This looks like a high quality frame. I'm buying one next.

Could I mark on the acrylic with dry erase markers without damaging it, i.e. will dry erase wipe off completely?

I haven't tried but based on the fact it is acrylic..it should be fine.

Is the plastic used in the A4 14x11 frame acid-free and safe to store 400 yr old historic documents in? What about the smaller thicker plastic frames?

To the best of my knowledge, paper can have acidity but not acrylic. But you should research it further. Additionally, you may want to invest in products specifically designed to safeguard old documents.
