Quality product unlike other generic types
This is a branded product that should last much longer than other cheaper generic types, I used the generic types and they lasted for approximately 9 months, I am writing this review after testing these for 6 months with no issues.

Works well. But not compatible with Kasa app
Compact unit and easy to set up. I have TPLink Kasa plugs and this is smaller and cheaper. However no 5 stars for Tapo because it has a separate app so now i need both Kasa and Tapo apps. But all works well with Alexa so not a huge problem once set up and linked to Amazon Alexa app

Both stopped working
Initially they worked well, and after a a couple months both stopped working. Initially one went, and about a month later the other died. Now they're both stuck in an endless update loop and are not able to reset to factory settings. If you look it up online, seems to be a common issue. I replaced them with P110, hoping they are more reliable.

Stop working in weeks
One product lasted 1 week, while the other lasted 3 months. Poor product reliability and a waste of money in the long term.

Both devices stopped connecting to the TAPO Home App
Both devices stopped connecting to the TAPO Home App out of nowhere. I followed every step and guidelines from TAPO to reset the devices but no luck.

I Purchased these to control radiators at home and lights, as it saves me having to turn them off individually. The Tapo P100 2 pack comes with two plugs and a small instruction manual. They are simply plug and play essentially. Out of the box. These devices are rated for up 2900 watt devices and are compatible with most small powered devices in that range. They are not suitable for large scale appliances such as air conditioning systems due to the power draw that they utilise on first startup. The plugs themselves are no bigger than a standard plug adaptor, but they do contain an led and a manual switch which you can use to turn the plug on or off or hold to reset if you change your wifi. These devices require a wifi connection to operate so a router is required. First time setup you will need your routers security settings and the Tapo app on your phone to operate the device. However setup is fairly straight forward and gives you access to the devices full functions. Which includes timer use, so you can set your devices and forget them if you need to or set a schedule as well. I have never had any issues using the devices. The app provides all the functionality of the wall plug and you can rearrange and add other plugs Tapo devics into your app and expand the functionality fairly easily. You can even name the plugs to keep track of them. Note: You will need to reset the Tapo plug if you change your wifi router/settings. Pros: Easy to use, controls one device, 2900 watt max, is easy to use once setup, has manual on/off button. Cons: Requires a tapo account (free), not suitable for high power devices (air conditioners).

Excellent Smart Plugs – Reliable, Easy to Use, and Packed with Features!** I bought the **Tapo P100 (2-Pack) Smart Plug** to start automating my home, and I have to say I’m very impressed. These plugs are compact, user-friendly, and work exactly as advertised. Setup was incredibly straightforward—just download the **Tapo app**, plug the devices in, and follow the quick setup instructions. I had both plugs connected to my Wi-Fi and running within minutes. **Smart Control Made Simple:** The remote control feature via the app is fantastic. I can easily turn devices on or off from anywhere, which is perfect for things like lamps, fans, or coffee machines. The app interface is clean and easy to navigate, even for someone new to smart home tech. **Voice Control with Alexa & Google:** I use Alexa, and the Tapo P100 integrates flawlessly. Voice commands are super convenient—no need to fumble with switches when your hands are full or you're already in bed. It also works with Google Assistant, which is great for households with mixed ecosystems. **Useful Features:** The **scheduling and timer functions** are a real highlight. I’ve set up my lights to turn on and off automatically when I’m out, and it gives a nice sense of security. The **Away Mode** is another smart touch—it mimics activity in the home to deter potential intruders. Very thoughtful! **Safety and Design:** The plugs feel solid and well-made. The compact design means they don’t block adjacent sockets, which is a common problem with bulkier smart plugs. Tapo also emphasizes **multiple safety guarantees**, including fire-resistant materials and child safety features, which gives added peace of mind. **Final Verdict:** If you're looking for reliable, affordable, and feature-rich smart plugs, I highly recommend the **Tapo P100 (2-Pack)**. They’re perfect for smart home beginners and tech enthusiasts alike. I’ll definitely be getting more to expand my setup.

I’ve got loads of these now and am always impressed with the quality, ease of use and reliability for a bargain price. So easy to set up and control. These latest two are controlling my exterior Christmas lights so are installed in a weatherproof box halfway down my garden. They are still working fine despite being in a plastic box in a cold environment on the edge of the wi-fi coverage. So much better than the mechanical timer plugs I was using last year.

Love these as I love how I can set them for the lamps to come on in the winter so I don't come in to a dark house . I also love how it set them up with Alexa and are voice activated to turn on and off if required out of programmed times. Very easy to set up App and alongside Alexa
