ENVEL USB to 3.5mm Audio Adapter, External Stereo Sound Card | Dual TRS 3-Pole 3.5mm Headphone and Microphone Jack for PS4/PS5/PC/Laptop, Built-in Chip Mic-Supported Headphone Adapter

This is just what I needed to add a microphone input to my Pi5 for my SDR. I tested this on Windows 11, Raspberry Pi5 and Linux Mint. It works great for what I need it for, just plug it in and it's ready to set up and use. The audio in and out sounds much better if you run it through a sound eq. No complaints here for the price.

I didn't know it'd be so much of a hassel to connect my mic using an aux cord to my macbook - no matter the different pronged aux cords, I couldn't get my mac to detect my mic as an input device. After looking online, I seen videos about getting an aux splitter etc etc. I tried to get a aux port connected splitter with dedicated mic and headphone ports... but nothing (and I tried 3 different one's I found online). I really wanted to find a splitter that could just go in the aux headphone port of my mac since I only have USB C connections - but I just decided to ordered this adapter to try out on my mac (I also had to buy a adapter to connect this usb to my mac, lol). BBUT it worked!! This is the only device I found to work for connecting my external mic to my macbook air. If you have a similar issue, this could be a good adapter to try.

I recently purchased an inexpensive analog gaming headset for use with my PC and to my surprise, it came with the classic pink and green monitor/mic plugs. My PC doesn't have those inputs so a friend mentioned using a dongle like this. Well, it works! Plugged into a vacant USB port, and I'm in business.

It works. For the most part it does so flawlessly. Immediately recognized and self set up ready to go in Windows 11. It has the tendency to become overwhelmed at the slightest strong audio "spike" resulting in the Mic side feeding into the Speaker side and vice verse requiring a reboot of the entire computer to "reset" it. My use is primarily for voice audio recording and obviously that varies dramatically in an exponential amount of ways resulting the the occasional "spike" mentioned. It doesn't happen continuously but it is very annoying when it does. Especially when it happens when the computer is unattended and you are not aware it has until you return to the computer. In defense of the product, it is a very inexpensive external sound device and not a high end commercial external sound device. That being said, it works well for general things and has its limits and the purchase price reflects that. Keeping that in mind you can decide if this is a device that will meet your needs at the price point it is offered at and work for you or not.

Worked (audio output) with win 7 after drivers installed automatically after plugin. It installed 3 microsoft drivers and is working fine. I have not tried the microphone input so I can't confirm its operation although that was one of the drivers installed. I did not have to disable the audio section on the motherboard so it is possible its digital output is still working. My use is to replace the analog audio output on the MB as it failed. Price was great and would purchase again!

My laptop's sound has been bad for a while - crackling, popping, fuzzy, just awful in general. I searched online for solutions and the consensus seemed to be that it's just something that's difficult to fix. Then I found this audio adapter and I can't say enough good things about it. I plugged it into my laptop, plugged my headphones into the adapter, and the sound is clear as a bell. The only thing I regret is that I must use headphones, can't share the clear sound with others. But I am so happy with this product!

Windows 10 plug and play audio USB dongle - works as advertised. Audio plug died on motherboard, this thing is the cheapest solution. Its doubly great in that you can unplug the mic or swap from the old speakers to new headphones without having to fish for the plug at the back of the tower. Sound quality is perfect. No buzzing, humming, etc, unlike the now-dead onboard sound chip on the mobo.

ممتاز جداً حطيت عليه سماعتي الريرز ولو جوده الصوت بتصير سيئة كان لاحظت لكن جربت وجوده الصور جداً ممتازه ونقية نفس الشي المايك صوتي نقي جداً وصافي مو متكهرب او فيه صدى او من ذي المشاكل الي ناوي يشتري القطعه يشتريها بدون مايفكر جوده عاليه وتستاهل

オンボードのオーデイオが壊れたので、当機を買いました。USBに挿すだけで一発で認識し問題なく使用出来てます、昔はオーデイオが壊れると増設のオーデイオカードを使用してましたが、いや～便利になりました。ありがたやありがたや！！！。
