My old hose split after 10 years of laundry. This hose was an exact match made by LG. I installed it in 20 minutes and my machine was up and running. This hose is at the very bottom of the machine so you have to lean it over on its front to get to. Once you are at the bottom of the machine it is easy to change with a Phillips screwdriver.

So this is a tricky review for me because this hose is of good quality and fits our washing machine but it's not the part that we needed. Our LG top loader started leaking every time we do a load of laundry. After about 2 months of this I finally made my husband look over the machine and we instantly noticed the hose underneath of our washer has a hole in it. So we took that hose off and looked everywhere for part numbers - and never found them. We've even looked online on LG's site for the part information -to no avail. So finally I found this hose on Amazon. It looks like the exact hose we needed so we bought it. Well, this isn't it. This is actually a hose that goes in a different area of the machine. I wanted to return it, but for the price my husband said "let's just keep it, this way we have this one if we ever get a hole in that hose!" ... 3 months later, I've still not found the correct hose. However if this is the one you are needing this is a very thick, durable hose for your machine. It's made w/ thick material!

I have an LG top loader. This is an easy fix. However, as another reviewer mentioned, you have to put the hose on with the arrow pointing toward the pump. Whoever put the original hose on before me did not do that, which explains why it was so difficult to remove. The must have used adhesive. I matched it up exactly like it was but flooded my laundry room 3 times trying several tricks. I read another review here, flipped the hose, and watched a test load and a real load very closely. It held perfectly. It did not just slip off like the first 3 times when the tub got too much water in it. I ultimately used the original clamps. Hopefully, it will continue to hold, but after watching the back of the washer work, I don't think I will leave the washer unattended. This hose goes through quite a lot of stress while the machine operates.

I’m glad I was able to pay half the price by purchasing here. Easy to install and stinky mildew smell is gone.

This replacement drain hose is way superior in construction and in thickness than the others sold. I’ve bought the cheaper hoses and they lasted about a year and a half before they split because of because it’s cheaply made…

Easy replacement. Clamps are easy to compress with thumb and finger. Toughest part of the installation was removing the old rubber which had to be peeled off.

This hose is about 2 inches too short. The other hose we dug out of the trashcan after the washer kept pouring water allover the floor after we replaced it and figured out that it was way too short. This is not the right hose. Do not buy this your washer will gush water out even worse than before. Now we're out more money and my husband has run up to lowes to see if he can make one to fit it so that we can finally fix our washer and wash our clothes again. Lg you should be ashamed selling a part 2 inches too short. We used the item number and all to find this. Buyer beware you will be out more money. Go directly to your local repair shop or just call someone. Were ending up paying more than we would to call a handy man just buying hoses to try to fit since lg doesn't make the proper replacement that fits. Very disappointed! And so very angry I now have a piece of tube I can't use and my money went down the drain. Great job lg!
