TOMS Men's Alpargata Classic Slip-on Espadrille, Textile/Synthetic Upper

My teenage son and husband both wear a men's 14 shoe, so finding shoes that are available in their size, let alone affordable and well made, can be an absolute nightmare. I was looking for a pair of simple, basic, canvas deck style shoes for my son to wear during summer as an alternative to open toe sandals or heavy sneakers. I was amazed when I found these. I'd heard good things about Toms, so I was very excited to find a size 14 on sale! They fit my son wonderfully, and seem to be true to size. They're understated but very nice looking, so they're appropriate for a wide variety of activities, and they look very well made, so as long as he doesn't get another growth spurt, I expect him to get at least a good couple of years wear out of them. The sole is nice and thick, so they seem pretty durable. They're slip on, so super easy for him to shove his feet in and go, with a good size opening for plenty of airflow around the ankle. He says they're really comfortable, too. There's a decent arch support, but the sole might be too firm for someone with very tender feet. Overall, we're extremely happy with them!

I bought this for my husband and he loves it. It’s comfortable and fits him perfectly. What I paid for was worth it, great quality and I definitely recommend it!

I really like the look and feel of Tom’s. However, I am having difficulty with the sizing as I have tried 10w, 10 and 9.5 wide.

I've had these for less than a day but I love my Toms. First off: sizing. I am usually a 7 or 7.5 in most shoes. Both tend to fit me comfortably (usually). I ordered a 7 in these, since I figured I will not usually be wearing socks (and therefore don't need extra room, since these can fit snug), or if I do, I would be wearing thin liners. However, the shoes are very snug. If you are also in between sizes, I suggest going with the larger. Still, I was able to wiggle the fabric around my feet so that they fit okay, and I'm hoping that with a few wears, the fabric will give just enough for me to be able to slip these on and off with ease. These shoes are narrow in a particular spot for me. The top middle part of my foot is high (despite the fact that I have low arches) and I find that that is where the most tension is when I wear these shoes. However, I have that problem with most shoes I try on, so if you have a similar shaped foot as I do, expect to break these in a little bit. Other than that, the footbed provides some amount of arch support and cushioning, which I highly appreciate. I am unable to wear flats for an extended amount of time because the lack of arch support causes knee pain. Although I love wearing sneakers, I wanted casual comfortable shoes that wouldn't make me look like a child (I look really young and wearing sneakers doesn't help!). These Toms are casual, comfortable, and somewhat more age appropriate for me. Finally, I was worried that the Toms I received might be fake. But after doing a quick Google search and some comparisons, I'm glad to know that my Toms are authentic. Overall I'm very happy with my Toms and I can't wait to make these my go-to pair of shoes.

I absolutely love these shoes, they look so pretty on and are comfy. However I did have a struggle actually getting them on as they are quite tight round the top, so if you have broad feet they might not be ideal. I'm hoping they will give a little as it's just fabric and they're too nice to send back.
