Jennifer Ecch is so tough... She's at Rotten School on an Arm Wrestling scholarship! Bernie Bridges calls her Nightmare Girl. But she'll do anything to get him to be her boyfriend. That's why she joined the all-boys football team. With Jennifer playing, they can't lose. But wait. If they win, they have to play the National Champion team -- the Bone Breakers! Someone's got to stop the attack of the Ecch -- or else Bernie and his teammates will be in the hospital by halftime! Review: Motivates a 12 year old boy to read. - 12 year old nephew year loved it. Review: Bernie Bridges Strikes Again! - One of the funnier of R.L. Stine's writings, Bernie gets into a really tight jam and is saved by the thread of his shorts! When you care to sit with your child to learn where an adolescent's thoughts wander to, take it with a grain of salt. When you consider the absolute genius behind this troublemaker who (unlike Junie B. Jones) can carry on a conversation with larger than two-syllable words, your mind will reel with wonder. Having been a school bus driver in the past, I must wonder if this was modeled after a real boy. Hmmm.

Great Series
I love this series. I use it as a substitute to read in my older grade classrooms. The kids listen attentively and laugh through me reading the story. Its funny even for adults.

Great series for boys!
I have enjoyed watching my 10 year old boy read this series. He thinks this book series is funny and has story ideas that are on his level. He has also enjoyed the Mostly Ghostly series by R.L Stine. (all eight books!) It is the first series that I have seen him read through faster than any other books in the past. It is great to see your child reading for fun and not because he is being told to read. I would recommend this series if you have a child who doesn't always "want" to read. This series may draw him in and get him wondering what is on the next page!

A great book series for Kids
If your kids hate reading or love it, get these books. These books will keep their attention and have them coming back for more. If you are trying to get your kids into chapter books, get these. RL Stine has done it again. Great Books (all of them)

If a child enjoys it and reads whats not to like
I never read the whole story but Stine's style of writing seems to be enjoyed by the very young and if they are reading they are learning and that for me is what is important

Entertaining for young boys
My 11 year old son can't get enough of the rotten school books. They are so entertaining to him that he will finish reading one in two to three days! They do not necessarily have to be read in order so if you skip one in the series the reader isn't lost. Very easy to read with large print and cute black and white illustrations. With "rotten school" in the title be assured that there is humorous content that will surely keep any young boy reading and entertained.
