I bought this meat tenderizer tool a while ago, and honestly, it’s made a big difference in how I prep meat at home. Cannot live without. This is perfect for any type of meat that you would like or need to tenderize. Deep holes so that all the seasonings and marinade can get in and soak. I will be sure that I have one of these in my kitchen at all times for years to come. Extremely affordable and does its job well. I used this meet tenderizer only once for the moment, so the score I am giving is preliminary. I used the black one, I guess that they are the same. I used on a piece of pork, Boston but, and it worked great on the muscles. The tenderizer resulted a bit weak when I used over the tendons, the handle was tending to split. The blade are good and the spring is good, the handle is the weak part. Overall, I did not return, an I will continue using it, I just need to be careful on the what meet to use it. A quick update: Today I used it on a nice piece of chuck roast, and it did an excellent job.

That's not hold up well at all poorly made

These are the best meat tenderizers I’ve ever bought. They’re small enough for small jobs and just big enough for carefully poking holes in meats for marinating and simple tenderizing. The retractable spikes in the spring mechanization are great for safety. Very effective. Fun to use! I bought a pair for my mother-in-law as well. She loves them.

One of the two items (the black one) was broken on arrival which gave an insight into the flimsy build quality. Plastic is thin and fragile. The other item (the white one) was not broken but it felt wobbly and ready to break. I returned the items without using them so I cannot comment on how well they worked or lasted

Unit is on the cheap side but has worked fine for occasional use. Need to flatten chicken breasts first with something as this unit will get stuck in a thick breast. Definitely makes a chicken breast way more tender.
