What is the scale sizing system?

The scale indicates the size of a die-cast model relative to the real vehicle. For example, a 1:87 scale model is 87 times smaller than the actual car. For models without a scale listed, review the product specifications for the exact size.

Are these toys or collectibles?

Both, depending on the format. All are considered adult collectibles but can be used for light play.

What ages are these safe for?

Our Earth Mover Playsets are safe for ages 6+. Most of our display box models are safe for ages 8+. Our keychain models and a few of our officially licensed trucks are safe for ages 14+.

Are these officially licensed by Caterpillar?

Yes. Any of our models that have the Cat logo are officially licensed Caterpillar products. We also have officially licensed truck and trailer models as well, such as Peterbilt, Kenworth, Trail King, Western Star, Freightliner, and more.

Will the keychain hold up to daily use?

The keychains that are fully metal diecast — no articulated points — are built for rough, daily carry. But those with articulated, flexible-plastic points are detailed collectibles first — not heavy-duty daily key dongles.
