I have recently learned about using gel medium. It works great for collage work I have done and as a top cost in a cross-hatch pattern over acrylic paint - then topped it off with varnish for several of my pieces. It’s really good for the artist how looking hard consistent paste. It’s very strong when drying, could be coloring with acrylic paint. Could be used as hard clay for some projects too. I used this for making my 3D flowers

I'm using it to bulk out wire frame model trees. It bulks them out fine, but difficult to add bark texture to the tree afterwards. Still experimenting with it.
