Had my doubts, but wow a great slip on show for daily use and hiking.
I tried on my first pair at a local department store and they were very uncomfortable. It was the only pair in my size, so thinking that it may be a defective pair, I ordered a set from Amazon. (I love Merrell shoes and enjoy their fit. Must have purchased 20+ pairs in the past.) The new pair instantly fit well and I added an arch support to fit even better. I like the look and if I'm wearing jeans it appears to be a nice pair of boots from the front! The tread is sufficient for light hiking. The comfort is almost like wearing a slipper. The shoe will not slip off my foot and is very sturdy. Even the back heal is easy to slip into and is fortified in a way as not to collapse after putting on without a shoehorn. (Who uses shoehorns anyhow - Sorry Mom!) Took them on a 2 week trip in which I walked/hiked 20,000 steps daily. No sore feet, no rub marks. Pretty easy to clean when someone spilled ice cream on them. A bit of water and a rag and the stain disappeared - I was very surprised. It rained a lot and my feet stayed dry and the wet shoe dried as new. Well done Merrell! When I got back I ordered a second pair because when these wear out, I don't want to find they are no longer available. SUPER HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

These do a lot; Comfortable and capable.
Merrill hikers fit me right out of the box. I like these Jungle Mocs because we don't wear shoes in our house and I can slip these on and off as I work in the garden and come inside. As I get older I appreciate being able to wear these without bending over to put them on and lace them every time. I never intended to wear these hiking but two months ago, I met my sibling for a hike. I meant to take these off and switch to regular Merrill hikers before leaving home but again, getting older, I forgot and didn't realize it until reaching the trailhead. Thought I was gonna have a bad day and sore feet or slip and fall etc. SURPRISE- I had a nice hike and my feet felt just fine. This was not a big hike, just 3-4 miles but the Colorado ground was hard and gravelly with a decent elevation gain> Bottom line is you can use these for mild hiking but I still think normal laced hikers are better choice if you are doing some elevation or harsh terrain. Around town these are VERY good. My second pair. The first pair that I am writing about are still good enough and I have used them fairly hard. Washing the car, rotating tires, working the garden and putting them on and off without a shoe horn. They are durable and comfortable to walk in. One more thing: When they were newer I used them to travel. I could wear the to dinner in the evening and walk around and explore new towns in the day time. Not tuxedo wear but dressed nice for semi formal dinners

Perfect fit
I am always hesitant to buy shoes on line. Will they fit? will they be comfortable? More than one pair has gone to Salvation Army after only a day or two of wearing. My old sneakers had finally given up, and I have come to the realization that I don't really run, don't really need sneakers. I do walk a lot, wear slippers in the house and slip on something to get the mail, bring out the dog, go for a walk. My sneakers had become my "slip on" shoes. They were loosely tied, and I have not tied or untied them for a year or more, just slip my feet in. So started to look for something I could slip on, comfortable, good for walking. The price on these was a bit higher than I was hoping, but had a pair of Merrell boots at one point, or maybe I had just heard of them, but had thought they were good. When these arrived I pulled them out and put them on. They fit perfect, like a glove. They are a tiny bit tighter than my loosely tied sneakers, but not too tight, not too loose, perfect. I walk about 2-2.5 miles most days, and after getting these headed right out. Great support, don't slip off your foot, your foot is not sliding around. Grass, sidewalks, perfect. I did hit a patch of ice, covered by a dusting of snow, and they do not grip on that, but don't think anything would. On top of all that, they look decent. Not dress shoes, but certainly could wear these into the office and would fit in fine. Most of my reviews are "good," there is usually something that could be a little bit better about any product. So far there is nothing I can think that would make these shoes any better. Fit perfect, feel great, no break in needed, and look fine. Totally happy with them.

Great shoes. Fit big feet. Comfortable. Don't feel like clogs/slippers.
Edit to add: These do have horrible traction in wet/snow. Use extreme caution on wet floors, and just don't wear if it's snowy/icy. I'm removing 1 star for that, because I had to get a different pair of shoes for bad weather. (Telluride Moc, which are better for traction, but not as comfortable.) That said, I'm on my 3rd pair of these, and for regular office work, they're great. Original: Why did I not buy these sooner? TL;DR: Great shoes. Fit big feet. Comfortable. Don't feel like clogs/slippers. I am someone who values my time and..... oh hell... I'm lazy. I slip my shoes off by holding down the heel with the other foot, and put them on before leaving for work by sticking my foot back in. As such, I tend to destroy the heels of all my shoes. (I'm a computer tech, so I mostly wear sneakers or "casual" shoes) For years I'd thought about getting these sort of shoes, and for years I'd held off because I have huge feet (15) and usually only new balance fit my foot correctly without a break-in period. I can now say there's an exception to that rule. I got the 14s of these the first time around, because people said they ran big. Not so. 14 was too small, so I went to 15, and they're perfect. They also have arch support that at first felt weird, but now feels like something I don't know how I lived without. They have also felt like a broken-in pair since the first (maybe second) day I wore them. If I have any complaint, it's that they pick up a TON of sand/salt/ice/snow in the tread and keep dropping it for a good half hour once you get to your destination in winter. At home I take off my shoes at the door, but I notice it at work when my chair is crunching over sand from the parking lot. Most importantly, however, I've been wearing these for a couple weeks now, all day, every day, and they still slip on and off with ease, but don't feel floppy on my feet when I'm walking over weird terrain. If I had any wish, I guess it'd be that they make a pair with mesh in the toe area. They do get a little warm at times, but I don't see an easy way to do that with the design. Overall.... well, I guess the fact that I'm planning to buy a second pair speaks for itself.

Perfect for around town or in the shop.
I work on trucks and do metal fabrication for a living and I have a really difficult time finding shoes for wearing in my shop. It seems the choices are either leather work boots that are heavy and have flat soles and kill your feet after a few hours, or comfy walking/running shoes that are made from synthetic materials that melt or catch fire when exposed to welding sparks. Generally I have to choose between having soles that hurt from the shoes, or pain from burns on the top of my feet. I know these shoes aren't marketed as any kind of work shoe, but they are leather, and with no laces or gaps they work very well for keeping the sparks out. Better yet they are comfortable, really comfortable. Usually a new pair of shoes needs a little time to break in, but I put these on when they arrived and have worn them every day since ( about 2 weeks) and haven't thought about my feet once, and that is exactly how it should be. I kinda feel a little bad that they are such nice looking shoes and I know I'm going to ruin them in the shop, but it's totally worth it for comfy shoes that don't catch fire. One note, before ordering these I ordered the pro-grip professional version which has a different non-slip sole on them. When I tried them on I instantly put them back in the box because they were about a half size too big. After reading some reviews I found that the pro grip version runs big so I ordered these in the same size and they fit perfectly. I don't need the non-slip sole so these are perfect for me. I only wore the others for a couple minutes so I cant comment any more on them. UPDATE 6-28-16. I've now had these shoes just over a year and though they are starting to show their age, they are still doing great. The soles are still intact, though starting to get a bit worn and the rubber piece that goes up the toe is starting to peel off. The elastic is getting a little stretched, and the insoles are pretty well done, BUT I've been wearing them pretty much every day in my workshop which is a pretty abusive environment. They have held up far better than any other shoe I've tried, about 4 times better so far, as I normally only get 3-4 months out of a pair of shop shoes. I was thinking about replacing them soon, but I think I'm just gonna get some new insoles and see how long they last. I loved these shoes when I got them, and I'm even more impressed a year later.

5 Years Later and They're Still Going Strong – One of My Best Purchases Ever
I bought these almost 5 years ago and wanted to come back and leave a review because they have held up incredibly well. After years of regular use, they still look almost new. The material quality and craftsmanship are excellent. The finish has remained in great condition, and they have proven to be far more durable than I expected. It's rare to find products made this well anymore. If you're on the fence, don't be. This is a brand that delivers on quality, and I would absolutely buy from them again.

Great Shoe
I have always found Merrell to be a long lasting shoe (ie. 3yrs). I have previously bought Columbia and Clarks shoes, which fell apart after just 6mths. So back to Merrell again..!! Fingers cross, it will last another 3yrs.

デザイン秀逸
デザイン、歩き易さは期待通り。 予想していたことですが、メレルは幅が狭くて私の足には少しキツイです。履き慣れていくのを待ちます。
