How is this panasonic rf-2400 am/fm radio, different from the panasonic rf-2400d am/fm radio? one has the letter d. is one a newer model?

From what I have read on other websites the 2400D uses a digital tuner (even though the display is not digital) whereas the 2400 uses an analogue tuner.
