Fun & Yum Teumsae Hot and Spicy Ramen Korean Instant Noodle 4.23oz (Pack of 5)

the instructions say to use 500 mL of water, so it is a rather large meal to which you can add other ingredients (dumplings, meats or vegetables etc). delicious and spicy!

Unless you have tried really spicy food like Indian food etc, don't go into this ramen lightly. The powder is literally 70% red chilli powder and 30% flavoring. I would recommend only using 75% of the packet and the flavor will be spicy enough unless you love spice. Either way the flavor is top notch... easily as good as the Nongshim veggie soup but 100x spicier. You also get more veggies in the packet than Nongshim. The noodles are also the same quality. The best way i can describe the spice is like fire in your mouth and your lips will probably be slightly numb afterwards. Eat with some milk or water!

I have a medium spice tolerance and these were pretty spicy for me. The flavor is good but I'd recommend watering it down for a more mild flavor. As far as vegetarian ramens go this is nice, I haven't found another one this spicy yet. It comes with a lot of noodles that soak up the broth a bit so keep that in mind for the proper broth-to-noodle ratio (I like mine more brothy so the first time I undershot the amount of water to add).

Ok so my daughter loved loved loved these! she's a big fan of south Korean dishes and particularly loves ramen. She was so excited when it came in earlier than expected and couldn't wait to try them. let's just say her initial reaction was priceless. On that note, ill review it based on flavor, level of spiciness, and packaging. 1) When describing the flavor my daughter continuously repeated the word spicy but on a serious note stated that behind the spicy veil the soup's was very flavorful. The noodles are nothing like the ones here in America, and were bigger and less "fried". The taste is very similar to Nongshim and when topped with some kind of meat or egg expect a more advanced kick. usually when preparing ramen she adds veggies and seasonings but for these she simply did as the packaging said. I suggest following the instructions for optimal flavoring. 2) Now my daughter thought that she was a veteran of spice. She eats spicy things all the time,that I personally can not eat without a severe coughing fit and ten glasses of milk, without batting an eyelash. Regarding this ramen though,she was tearing up as she ate it. IT was the type of spice that made her whole mouth feel like it was an inferno and she had to especially avoid letting it touch her lips, because she said it'd burn for at least five minutes and leave her rubbing an ice cube on them just to alleviate the feeling so she could continue toeat. She also commented that she made a big mistake the first time she ate these by adding cayenne pepper to the soup (which she always adds to Samyang Ramen in order to make it spicy enough for her) and nearly gave up finishing the noodles because she couldn't handle it. so on a 1-10 this ramen is definitely a 13. 3) The packaging was easy to understand since they had pictures and English instructions to aid in the preparation of the ramen. these instructions are on both the whole package and each individual pack.

I bought this since I had heard that this ramen is supposedly spicier than the Samyang Ramen. After buying both packets and eating them multiple times I am not confident I can say which one is spicier. After cooking the noodles you have to drain all the water and pour the contents of the packets and mix well. The spicy mix for this ramen is in powder form. My husband, however, seemed to enjoy the liquid fire goo packet from the Samyang Ramen the best but I think I like the Teumsae one better. They are both super super super spicy but I just enjoy the flavor of this one more. After cooking the noodles I leave a little bit of liquid and mix in some napa cabbage or bok choy and then add the spicy packet and serve with kimchi. Not the healthiest thing to eat but definitely a treat that goes great with a beer. Don't exceed more than twice in a month, though. You may hurt your insides...

Arrived today in great shape. They arrived exactly when they said it would. I really don’t know what compelled me to buy something spicy. I think my sense of adventure. I love the noodles. Firm and chewy, they were perfect. Now the reason for the 3 stars is solely because it was soooo spicy. To be honest I couldn’t finish the bowl. I surrendered and quickly had some milk. Milk is my new best friend. If you’re a spicy hot pepper head then this is for you. I will just eat them with chicken broth instead of their soup base because the noodles are really good.

To truly experience this ramen, use the whole flavor packet. To have a pleasant experience only use like half the flavor packet. I was absolutely dying after trying this the first time and I thought my spice tolerance was pretty high. I was surprised at how good the flavoring was for such a spicy ramen, which is why I keep coming back for more. I did however have an unfortunate experience when some of the broth splashed into my eye. Sheer blinding pain. I literally couldn't open my eye for a good 15 minutes after washing it out with water. I thought, "This is it. This is how I go." Anyways, I'm ok now but be very careful when eating this cause I wouldn't wish that pain on my worst enemy. Great spicy ramen!

Before anyone says anything I know there's other best options too! This is my second time getting it cause we all love it in our household!! We love spicy food and actually looking for spicy ramen for so long but they disappointed me everytime!! Says spicy not spicy at all and all that stuff! We didn't find this much spicy but it's better then what I've tried!! After opening the spice pack and the smell will instantly let you know it's gonna be hot and I love it the small is amazing after cooked, and the veggies has red chilies in it which looks fresh after cooked which was surprising !! I would definitely recommend this if you wanna try something spicy!!
