Smooth sound, zero fret noise and a great first flatwound purchase before you explore other more expensive brands like Thomastik Infeld or Sonotone strings. Dean Markley also has some very original engineered strings. Will stay long if you take care of it. I will recommend it. I also purchased the ECG26 medium guage pack its awesome too. Darker sounds that fits my playing style well. I hate to play on or pay for "regular" strings or the round variety anymore and anywhere. Flatwounds for life.
