Best rod for the buck
Amazing rod. I have bought 4 of these rods in the last 2 years, others from Bass Pro Shop, but they are now cheaper on Amazon. Strong, light weight, sensitive. Combined with my Battle II and III Penn reels, I have the best of the best for inshore reds. I am putting all my "more expensive" spinning rods into retirement. FYI, Oil the eyes because saltwater will eventually cause them to rust. Leave the plastic on the cork handle for protection.

Surprised how good ,
Pleasantly surprised what a good pole for the money. Light weight but good enough backbone to bring in a large fish. It’s been tested as l caught a sturgeon and the pole was put to the test

Ugly Still snapped in two on first trip?
Very disappointed with this rod. I've used Ugly Stiks for almost 30 years. I had about a dozen and never has one broken. This one got hung up on a rock, and trying to dislodge it, it snapped in two. The top half is at the bottom of a canal. I did nothing more than I've done with any other rod. This was my first time using the Inshore Select 7'6" medium 1 piece. I think it's a beautiful rod, and I'm wondering if it was part of a bad batch, but I think I'll put my money on something else for now.

Good rod overall
The media could not be loaded. This is really good rod for the price. I went for the medium heavy. The medium action is really good for jigging and more finesse techniques like using a Chesapeake sabiki. I’ve caught loads of fish on this rod. Currently have it paired with a Diawa BG3000 and couldn’t be happier with the combo. I’ve caught everything from bluefish to small striped bass on this rod. Only issue I had is that one of the guides bent out of place a bit but I bent it back and it seems to be fine. For the price I paid, I wasn’t exactly expecting much but this is exceeded my expectations.

I really like this rod. It is the second one I have purchased. I use it for fishing the intercoastal here inFlorida. It is lighter weight than other Ugly Stick rod, which is why I like it better.

Great rod
I have always liked Ugly Stik products and I have many different rods and three of this particular one. I have caught Stripers, Redfish and Specks on them with no issues. Warranty is 5 years and price point is very good.
