I’m buying and selling cars every week. This tool is the best I’ve used — shows exact paint thickness in numbers. Found filler and repaints on 2 cars that looked perfect. Much better than a magnet or cheap testers. Works on aluminum and steel. Very easy to use. I use it on every car now. Highly recommend!

My husband checked a few used cars with this gauge. One looked perfect, but the numbers showed it was fully repainted and probably repaired. We walked away — definitely saved us money and stress. I recently bought an older MB that needed a fairly DEEP paint correction to remove some heavy scratches and swirls. But of course I didn't want to risk going TOO deep, all the way through the clear-coat. So I bought this meter and measured the thickness everywhere I was about to compound. I also measured the thickness inside the door jam and trunk lid (where the clear coat is very thin) to get an idea of how far I could go. The job turned out very well (nearly perfect) and I still have enough clear coat remaining for looks and UV protection. Subsequently, I applied a ceramic coating for more protection, and it looks great. Anyway, I found this meter accurate (based upon the paint thickness samples provided), easy to use, and good value when compared to similar products.

I have taken this to multiple dealerships when I was looking for a car and it detected filler and fully painted panels with ease and I was able to walk away from cars that had a lot of work on them, so were so good you could not tell, but this meter revealed all, despite their clean HPI reports. I wouldn't go see a car without this, just make sure to give car dealers notice you are coming and the car has to be dry (otherwise you won't get a good reading). Worth every penny, one of the best devices I own, considering how much I paid and what it's saved me

Ich mag dieses Gerät. Er ist sehr handlich und kompakt. Es gibt keine zusätzlichen Funktionen, dafür aber eine recht hohe Messgenauigkeit. Ich bin sehr zufrieden damit.
