The Owyn Toy Box

This toybox is just lovely and very high quality construction. The unique branch and leaf design goes perfectly with our green, foresty nursery theme. The branch is actually a thin, separate piece of wood that appears to be laminated over the pale wood, but it is very sturdy and there are no gaps for tiny curious fingers to try to peel away.It's hard to tell from the one photo provided at the time of my purchase/review, but this does not have a conventional toybox lid. The leaves actually are removed to reveal two interior compartments. The leaves are supported all the way around the edge and are quite sturdy- my toddler has climbed on this and it holds up well. Such a unique feature, and the leaves are easy for our toddler to remove and replace without help, which enables her to get toys and put them away without help.The price is a bit steep, but if that doesn't bother you I highly recommend this- the whole toybox is very sturdy and lovely. A bonus is that when it arrives it smells so good, like freshly cut wood.
