Will the weight be alright to take in kayak?

Probably a little to bulky for a kayak but it would definiely hold it in place

What is the width of the widest part of the fluke?

It is about 16 inches, it did not fit to my boat's anchor place, and I cut one inch in each extreme to fit within the anchor place. I work perfectly and it does not rot (galvanized steel)
