PRO Disconnect Tool

Fantastic tool, makes removing a failed part simple. This tool is perfectly designed and works great. The fact that it is automatically adjustable makes quick work of removing faulty fittings.

This costs a few bucks more than the non-Sharkbite versions but it WORKS!!! Just like the Sharkbite fittings. Tried the other versions—did not work on 1/2“ copper. This thing looks clunky but it gets those fittings right off with no damage to the pipe or the fitting. As a 73 year old woman with less than stellar grip strength, I would have been stumped and unable to complete my plumbing project without this. For oldsters like me whose last plumbing project required solder, flux and a butane torch, I was amazed at the easy-to-use fittings. Wonderful inventions all!!!

It's great working in your hands, but it can be awkward when working in tight spaces.

This tool is worth every single penny and more!! For those of us who work regularly in maintenance and plumbing jobs, SharkBite fittings can be a time saver and a great convenience. Until you have to remove one!! You know what a hassle it can be if you’ve ever tried it. Well very early in my career I bought a set of those cheap plastic C shaped clips and they worked well for the most part, but sometimes they just couldn’t get the job done. So I upgraded to the cheap version of the HarkBite plier style…. what a headache!! The jaws would bend during use or they just wouldn’t seat properly on the fitting. So I finally did what I should have done right in the beginning. I bought the SharkBite brand tool. It fits perfectly and very quickly and easily releases the lock ring inside the fitting. When I think back on the times I was using the orange C clips… I could die. If you’re using the SharkBite fittings, and you Should be, be sure to do yourself a favor and buy this tool. You’ll thank me later

Much better than the half-moon shaped orange plastic tool but this has a learning curve and it is far from perfect, especially given the price. Helped me make some pipe repairs a bit faster and a easier but it took a bunch of time to get used to using and I still feel like I don't have a firm grasp on it. Grateful that it's easier to use than the orange tools but when you're getting those for a few bucks each and this is 60 something dollars, I expect or at least hope for greater ease of use as well as higher success when using. I'd definitely pick it up if you do a lot of plumbing work with Sharkbites, but not sure if it's worth it for a one or two off job.

More expensive then the other options, but well worth the money.

This is a really good tool compared to others that I've used. When used correctly it doesn't slip and it releases the fittings quite easily. If you run into a stubborn fitting, rotate the fitting on the pipe with a pair of pliers first. Then try to release it again with the tool. Sometimes fittings get stuck and nothing will release them. In that case you are cutting pipe. I highly recommend this tool and I would purchase it again without hesitation.

Works Great. Way better than all of the other tool types. I should have bought this tool a longgggggg time ago! Well-made.

This is one of those tools where the price puts you off, it's not cheap and there are other tools to remove push to connect fittings that are a lot less. HOWEVER the second you use this tool you will never pick one of those other disconnect tools up again. The jaws are self adjusting for size of pipe and fitting so just unlock the handles, brass jaw to the fitting, push the jaws on the fitting and pipe, squeeze the handles, pull off the pipe. That's it. No struggling, no slipping, no fussing. Expensive? Maybe. Worth it? Absolutely.

Great idea for a one size fits all tool. Build quality also excellent. Price a bit high for just a seldom used tool. Clamping force is easy to achieve and maintain, but then you need to be able to pull the fitting straight off. This is not really easy or possible while the tool is in use. You really need your second hand to pull straight on the tool to release the fitting. Still not really a bad tool. If you have ever had an issue of getting a fitting to release, then this tool should definitely make that a thing of the past.

My only complaint is the price. Could be more affordable but they work great especially in tight conditions and where two connections are close together. Requires very little effort to take sharkbytes off.

this tool is excellent for the SharkBite adapters very easy to work and works great seems to be well built
