These are so pretty! They do require the proper amount of direct sunlight to work. We had several rainy days in a row, and they only stayed lit for a few hours. But when it is sunny, they stay lit approximately 7 hours. They are only for ambiance. I would not rely on them to be able to see in a space unless you are hanging several strands in a small area.

love the lights and solar works, and is beautiful. Just don't forget to turn it on! or take the solar top tape off. I bought two and had one hanging for 6 days and nothing. I started to wonder what I was doing wrong. Then I took the other one out of the box, and this time I read the instructions before hanging it up, thinking it should take a few days to get the solar working. That very evening my dog and I was sitting on the patio when all the lights came on! it was beautiful! The only thing is, it is not very bright. But then, my sister pointed it out to me, it is gold and covered. so maybe I am asking for too much

I purchased 2 (pictured). Pros: -Awesome quality (so far) -Design is intricate -Long string length Cons: -Low Brightness -Smaller than expected -Not enough time to confirm weather proofing (troubleshooting whether heat severely scratched the solar panel or if it happened accidentally...) Overall, a great addition to any patio or balcony. The remote settings provide enough options for those wanting to switch it up -- slow blinking, twinkling, solid, etc. I prefer solid light or twinkling. The picture shows TWO orders, something to be mindful about when sizing up how many lights you need.

I paid for new lights received used plus they have a short in the solar panel. Threw packaging away my mistake but I won’t be buying again.

I’m going to give these some time to see if the solar panel needs a few days to charge, but we’ve had these installed for two days now - in New Mexico with abundant sunshine - and so far the lights don’t come on. The solar panel is in a sunny spot, the protective film is not on the panel, I was careful with hanging the lights, and I’ve tried pushing the power button several times. No luck so far. I will update my review in 2 days. Edit: Five days later. The lights DID come on the next night, but only once it was quite dark. There seems to be some sort of internal mechanism that detects darkness that determines when the lights actually come on. So I’m changing my rating from 1 to 3 stars because technically, they do work. BUT, they come on only once it’s quite dark, and there’s nothing you can do about that. So during the evening when we would like to be out during the mid- to late-evening sky, we can’t turn these on for ambience. They are truly confined to just dark. Even as other evening lights start to come on, these don’t come on until closer to 9pm (writing this during summer hours in early June, but we’re also on the east side of a mountain, so we get darker a bit earlier). When they’re on, they’re cute (but small). But by 9 pm, we’re usually back inside. Disappointing. I wish we could truly enjoy them for more hours in a day.

Looks nice

These little string lights are small, but give out a lot of light. Can be used indoor or outdoors… they are solar powered and can be powered on or off w a button on the solar device. These are also not the typical turn on/off string lights, these have different levels of motion. Strung together with high quality wire and very nicely priced at $20.00 give or take a couple of dollars or cents, these would make a nice addition to a backyard or a deck.
