Bleed the air out when refilling the fluid or you'll run into problems!
My old one was gurgling and giving the signs that it was failing. Bought and installed this one about 6-8 months ago and my car is doing great now. Make sure to bleed the air out after the install and refill process. There's also some great videos on YouTube about installing these. You don't have to remove the Inverter to get to the pump, you can remove the drivers side headlamp assembly and access the pump through that opening (I STILL RECOMMEND DISCONNECTING THE MAIN BATTERY** IT'S AN ORANGE PLUG AND YOU HAVE TO REPLACE IT AFTER THE INSTALL OR YOUR CAR WON'T START/POWER ON)

So far it's working like it should, hopefully it lasts. Seems well built and a lot cheaper than OEM.

I had to replace this part as my car decided to strand me on the side of the road. It has been over 15k miles later and it is doing well. It isn't hard to install, doesn't take long, and I have had no problems after replacing this part with anything else in the car.

Will update if fails: but it fit my 2nd Gen Prius and it pumps.
Fit perfectly in my 2009 (Gen 2) prius. I just fixed the 3 way coolant control valve, then got the P0A93(I think?) error code for inverter pump failure. Got this and replaced the old one with it. I tried turning the car on and felt the old pump to see if it was working, but never could tell. Was nervous it wasn't even the actual problem. After replacing the pump and feeling the new one, trust me, you can tell when it's working. I also saw videos on youtube about checking for turbulence in the inverter coolant reservoir-make sure you are seeing the turbulence when the combustion engine isn't rattling it. After replacing, I saw turbulence and could feel the motor pumping. So far so good. Hoping it holds up, I'll update to let you know if/when it fails...but I'm sick of reading 4/5 star reviews that say: "would give 5 except I don't know if it will hold up." Can't hold that against the product, just update as needed. I have ZERO car work experience, never even changed my own oil until this week when I did these 2 repairs (P1121 and P0A93). So far so good. You can do it with help from youtube and forums and save a bunch of money. I replaced the pump and not the actual base (as the nuts or bolts, whichever it was) that held the base to the car on the old one were in rough shape, and I didn't want to strip them for no reason and have a giant headache. Pump fit perfectly on the old base. Good luck!

Cheap and easy fix for the Red Triangle of Doom™ in my 2005 Prius.
Got the RTOD, among a ton of other lights, while driving on the highway. I used my bluetooth code scanner and got the code P0A93, which indicates a dead Inverter Coolant Pump. After calling around and being unable to find any local garages that would fix it, and getting quoted over 500 dollars from the dealership, i decided to just try doing it myself, despite having next to ZERO car repair experience or knowledge. I went with this pump after pricing out the OEM Toyota at about 130 dollars and an Aisin at about 80. The install took about 90 minutes to 2 hours, and was fairly simple. 4 bolts total to pull back the bumper and remove the headlight fixture, and 3 bolts and 2 hoses to remove the old pump. Easy to bleed the air out afterwards via a bleed screw located near the pump. Ive put about 3-4k miles on this pump in the few weeks since I put it on, and so far its working well! Will update periodically with how long this thing ends up running for, but assuming it lasts a while this is an amazingly cheap solution to a potentially expensive problem!

Pure JUNK! Do not waste your money!
Don't buy this! Installed on 2004 Prius. Bled the system, pump was working fine during process. Drove 10 miles after install all working fine. Drove into town several times over next 3 weeks. Then ran errands with wife and about 3 miles into run, it died. Blue AM2 fuse. Car would not start. Towed to Toyota dealer. Cost us $1200 + to trouble shoot and repair. Also it turned out this pump I installed had shorted out internally. Less than an ohm from + to - power connection. Spend the money for a real Toyota pump. This is pure JUNK! 🤬
