I have never seen a larger size at any site.

Hmmm. 11 grams sugar total whether "added" (as the grape syrup) or from the currants themselves or whatever. Your liver won't know the difference. As a comparison, many jams have 12 grams per 20 gram serving. OTOH, Smucker's Spreadable Fruit (which is preserves so far as I can tell) Blackberry has 8 grams total sugars per tablespoon (19 grams).
