Love the mortar and the pestle - they grind, smash, pulverize just as advertised - they are both very heavy and also hold things down very well, very well - and they look great too, very classic mortally/pestlely vibe - I highly recommend for all your grinding, smashing, pulverizing needs

I couldn’t be happier with this mortar and pestle set! The granite is heavy, solid, and feels very high quality. It stays in place while grinding and makes quick work of herbs, spices, garlic, peppercorns, and even tougher ingredients. The bowl has a great capacity, and the pestle is comfortable to hold and easy to control. The finish is excellent, it was easy to season before first use, and cleanup has been simple. If you’re looking for a durable, well-made mortar and pestle that performs just as well as it looks, I highly recommend this one. Excellent value for the price!

This is primarily for decorating but can also be used as intended. Heavy and rugged.

I purchased this so I could grind seeds / herbs without having them all over the counter. I followed the instructions for seasoning it. It took a while to grind the rice, when your done seasoning it, the rest of the ingredients will be easy. I finally got the rice to grind white which indicates I have removed all of the excess granite and smoothed the pestle and mortar. I smoothed the top and bottom of the pestle. Buy the time you finish grinding the rice, seeds, rice and avocado are a breeze to work with. I like the large size as it keeps all of my ingredients inside without having to chase them all over my counter. It is very easy to clean with hot water (no soap) and you let it air dry, it is that easy and then you are ready to use it again. The large heavy pestle makes it easy to grind your herbs or seeds. The roughness and the weight of the pestle make it fairly easy to grind the indredients. This should last me for a very long time and I wish I had purchased one years ago for my kitchen. If you do any grinding of herbs , seeds or even want to make guacamole in it. There is a card in the shipping box that tells you how to season it and for additional recipes . I really like this and would recommend it if your looking for a mortar and pestle set, this is a good one to get. It is durable and should last you years of good service.

Très beau mortier, lourd et solide, fait très bien le travail. Il faut cependant mettre un sous-plat antidérapant dessous si on ne veut pas abîmer son comptoir. Il aurait été bien que le fabricant pense à mettre une matière antidérapante sous le mortier. À ce prix, je suis satisfaite de mon achat.

Item was in good condition and quality. But the Anti-Scratch Protector + Italian Recipes EBook which was advertised were not provided also the item wasn’t delivered in its original packaging.

It came broken. Very sad as i was hoping to use

It feel quality, did the proper seasoning, takes more than the video recommends. It's a bit small if definitely go up a size if you plan to use it a lot and for all sorts of things. It's actually pretty small.

Very well made and solid. Follow the included instructions regarding "seasoning" the mortar. If you do that one step, you will have one of the best Mortar and Pestle units I have ever used, and I'm a spice nerd... Treat it like your favourite solid maple cutting board and your grandchildren will be happy to inherit it.
