Can't peel out the kernels cleanly. If you try peeling its actually chipping the kernels and you get the partial cut kernels.

Excellent kitchen tool and it works well to remove corns, as advertised.

I wish I'd bought one of these years ago. It strips corn kernels off the cob with ease and much faster than using a knife. It also produces fewer part kernels. Comfortable to hold. Simple to use. However, as others have said, the serrated edge is very sharp.

My wife said, "Why in the world do you need this?" but she doesn't do the cooking. Makes cutting the kernels off the cob fast and easy. One of my fave recipes requires 8 cob's worth of kernels. Used to take me several aggravating minutes. Cutting in too deeply? Too shallow a cut? This is perfect. Go figure.
