Is the playback and video saving functionality user friendly on this NVR?

There is nothing user-friendly about Amcrest software. I am a software engineer, and their software, both for NVR (I have this exact model) and cameras is simply horrible. I wish I knew it before I purchased their products. Mac support is much worse than that for Windows. I am not even able to setup NVR to notify me of motion detection events. And a couple of other things, like NVR records video in .DAV format, and if you download it for playback, you will need to find 3rd party software to play DAV video. I'd stay away from anything sold by Amcrest.

Anybody tried these goswift cameras on this nvr? goswift 4k ultra hd weatherproof bullet security ip camera | 8mp 3840x2160 | 100' night vision

All Amcrest Technologies are Onvif Compliant. If the Goswift 4K cameras are Onvif Compliant then they will run in the unit. However Amcrest recommends running Amcrest Cameras in Amcrest NVR and DVR's for a more full featured overall experience. Amcrest Team
