Stream Deck MK.2 – Studio Controller, 15 macro keys, trigger actions in apps and software like OBS, Twitch, ​YouTube and more, USB, works with Mac and PC

I LOVE this gadget!! Is it required? No. Do I use it every day may times a day? YES! It’s got a small profile so it’s not obtrusive on the desk. I really do feel like it saves me time as accessing apps and such is very easy. What I didn’t realize was that the buttons are menu options. For example, for one of them I have it set to apps. When I select that it goes down into a sub menu where I have 9 apps configured for quick access. I thought each button would only have one shortcut use. I didn’t realize there was an option for submenus. It’s fairly easy to set up, the buttons are easy to use and it seems durable. I’ve noticed very little lag. What I haven’t been able to figure out is quick ways to mute. I have a MuteMe which I was hoping to replace with this, but so far it be not figured that out. I’ve had it for around 2 months and it’s my favorite desk accessory.

The size and build quality are perfect, and the materials feel solid and premium. The keys are very smooth and respond quickly, which makes using it feel effortless. I haven’t had any compatibility or connection issues at all. The system is very complete while still being simple to use and customize. Overall, I think the price is reasonable for what it offers, and it’s a great tool for improving workflow and productivity.

I bought the Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 for my son-in-law, thinking it would help him "streamline his workflow" and "increase productivity." I was a fool. I have essentially gifted a high-tech control panel to a man who uses it almost exclusively to trigger air-horn sound effects during family Zoom calls. The "High-Tech" Performance Review: The 15 Macro Keys: These LCD keys are crisp, clear, and fully customizable. He spent three hours designing custom icons for his "important apps," only to map 12 of them to different variations of "Sad Trombone." Plug-and-Play Simplicity: Even he couldn't mess up the USB-C setup. It was up and running faster than he can explain why he hasn't mowed the lawn yet. The "Pro" Illusion: When he sits at his desk with this glowing Studio Controller, he looks like he’s launching a SpaceX rocket. In reality, he’s just switching scenes between his spreadsheet and a YouTube video of a goat screaming. Interchangeable Faceplates: The fact that you can swap the faceplates is great. I’m considering buying him a custom one that just says "DRIVE BETTER" to remind him of the car-totaling incident we don't talk about. The Pros: Infinite Possibilities: Through the Stream Deck Store, he can download plugins for everything. He currently has a button that tells him the exact temperature of a city he doesn't live in. Tactile Satisfaction: The buttons have a very satisfying click. It’s like a fidget spinner for people who want to feel like they have a real job. The Cons: Power Corrupts: Giving him this much control over his computer's audio and lighting has gone straight to his head. He now refers to the living room as "The Main Stage." Five stars for the hardware. It is rugged, sleek, and works perfectly. I just wish it came with a "Mute Son-in-Law" physical override switch.

I mainly use this with Soundpad to easily play sounds through my microphone. I had the previous generation and it's okay. This mk2 is just better than the previous gen and also just overall more support with plugins. Need to have the software to make changes and stuff which works. At least it is a functional software. The build quality is okay and it was kind of questionable on the design but it works. Brightness is decent which can be modified... nothing new there. At a glance when you first open the package, you'll be like .. how do I attach this USB-C to the stream deck? It was the weirdest thing because it looks like one unit. It's just the stream deck on a stand which can be detached. Everyone has different use cases. This product is far more superior with streaming capibilities and plugin support like Soundpad. Between this and Loupdeck, I find elgato stream deck better value for your money.

It is a versatile and powerful tool that goes beyond streaming. It's an excellent choice for non-streamers looking to enhance their productivity and creative workflows. 1- I used to keep an eye on my CPU and GPU Temperature, GPU/CPU Load, and CPU Usage, so if my PC is getting pretty hot, I could turn on the AC and bring down the temperature. 2- I can use the discord setting to Mute my mic or Deaf myself as well as to share my screen and join different channels with just one touch, also a plus with the soundboard you can have your favorite ones without the need to look for them inside the discord app. 3- For Zoom meetings, Webex meetings, etc... I have all the buttons set up so I can easily share my screen, mute my mic, view the members inside the meeting, the chat, all in a couple of touch. 4- I can access my games directly with just one touch like my Steam games, GamePass, Battlenet, Epic, and GOG. 5- I can make a profile when I'm developing a program to take actions that will take me many steps to reach with one click. Conclusion: The Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 is a fantastic tool for non-streamers who want to streamline their workflows and boost productivity. Its customizable keys and seamless software integration make it valuable to any creative professional's toolkit.

While the product is truly innovative and has been a great addition to my setup, it does have a significant bug that needs addressing. The 15 customizable LCD keys are a fantastic feature, allowing me to instantly control my apps, tools, and platforms with ease. The one-touch operation makes triggering single or multiple actions incredibly simple, and the visual feedback confirms that my commands are executed successfully. The Stream Deck MK.2 also boasts compatibility with powerful plugins like Elgato 4KCU, OBS, Twitch, YouTube, Twitter, Discord, Spotify, and Philips Hue, making it an indispensable tool for content creators. The hotkey actions streamline workflows in film editing, music production, and photography. However, I have encountered a major issue when using multiple monitors in certain circumstances. My Stream Deck often freezes up, and attempting to end the process and restart it in Windows 11 does not resolve the problem. The only solution I've found is rebooting my computer, which can be quite inconvenient. Despite this bug, I'm giving the Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 a four-star rating because of its immense potential and usefulness when it functions correctly. I believe that Elgato will address this issue in future updates, making it an even more powerful tool for streamers and content creators. Overall, the Elgato Stream Deck MK.2 is a fantastic concept with room for improvement. Once the freezing issue is resolved, I have no doubt that it will become an indispensable tool for streamers and content creators everywhere.

I've always wanted a stream deck. For many many years, I've seen it at the top my wish list, but only recently have I been able to actually get my hands on one. It's even better than I expected. Setting it up is super easy. Literally all you have to do is just plug in the type C connector into your computer, download the Elgato Stream Deck software, and customize it to your liking. There are a ton of different plugins and add-ons that you can download to not only enhance your stream, but also your productivity elsewhere on your computer. Think Excel spreadsheet shortcuts and Powerpoint tricks. It also just looks really nice. The one version that I have has the gummy keys and sits on my desk at an angle. The brightness is adjustable and looks really nice alongside with my setup you can also customize the screensaver on it to show something while you're not using it actively. It makes no noise and is whisper quiet, and it is a welcome addition to my workspace. Honestly, I can't even stream without one now and I am very happy with my purchase.

Great product, I love it and use it everyday. I certainly could get more use out of it if wanted to but tbh. For me it's more aesthetic.
