Decent quality for the money
I have a mini bench-top lathe on order and needed a center drill to allow setting the exact center of my stock for turning. I have one on hand, but it's a "long shank" version and wouldn't work with the lathe. I searched and found this set of seven. The set was very inexpensive compared to others I'd seen, but I decided to take a chance and ordered it. Once it arrived, I tried each one on some aluminum scrap I had in the shop and used my drill press to run the test. I was very pleased with the result and they gave me nice counter sunk tapered holes in the stock that my tail-stock centering pivot for the tail-stock will keep the work piece nicely centered in the lathe chuck. These different size bits will also work nicely to countersink holes for tapered head screws in both metal and other materials. Well worth the price and I'm ordering another set to go with the drill press. I liked them so well, I designed and made a nice holder for them out of 4mm thick plywood using my laser cutter/engraver and quick setting wood glue. HSS Center Bits review.
The HSS Center Bits Set that I purchased are of good quality, with centered tips. They have met my needs for centering on my lathe! This set was a good value for the money.

Unfunctional!
These center drills do not work at all. They are made improperly with no cutting edge and will not penetrate into metal. They WILL break if they are used in any kind of metal. Very poor product and may be considered unsafe for use. They are not worthy of even 1 star and Amazon should remove them from their listings.
