Love it!
Both of my kids (ages 8 and 5) love listening to the Magic Tree House series! They listen to them during their "rest time" in their rooms while they build or play with other things (they don't take naps anymore but still have a short down time in their rooms). We have enjoyed reading the books to our oldest since he was 5, and eventually bought several sets of books on CD for him to listen to on his own (which he listens to over and over again). Even now that he is a reader, he still enjoys the stories and listening to Jack and Annie's adventures while he's doing other things. Mary Pope Osborne does a great job reading the story (my oldest sometimes uses her same inflections when he reads his books to me now and makes the story come alive). I love that the stories are based on real events in history, and the readers get a glimpse of what it was like to experience it themselves through Jack and Annie. I would certainly recommend this product.

Entertaining
This book series is perfect for beginning readers. The stories keep you wanting to turn the page to see what happens next. The text gets more challenging as the series grows so it helps to expand the readerโs vocabulary. I highly recommend these books. My grandson and I took turns reading paragraphs in the beginning. His skill increased dramatically.

Magic tree house
I read these stories to my daughter and she loves them and honestly I love them too. They are filled with good adventures to read about and some of them are true in history and then there is good facts about it after finish reading the book.

Finished out the series!!
Truth be told, my last review wasn't entirely accurate. I told you I bought them for my son to read to his kids when he is starting his family. All true. Initially though, I was working with a student who loves to read, and bought the last 2 box sets to reach book 28. My goal was to read to her as a reward for her behavior. It worked, but we never got into the crux of the series. It was nice to be able to meet both goals. As a mom, I was always big on series and box sets. When we started reading Magic Treehouse, my goal was to find them all, and now I have. Now, although my son is in his early 20s, it still may be nice to read through the entire box set. Full disclosure, I do not have the informational books, just the fictional books in the series.

Magic Tree House Books 1 - 28
These are a good series of books for both boys and girls age 5 -8. By the time your done reading the first series of 4 books. They will be wanting to be reading them to you. My grandson and great neices did not want to put them down. Excellent for their first chapter books. My husband sat and read them. So he could talk to our grandson about them. Was quite impressed with the books and the enjoyment the kids got out of them. Thank you Mary Pope Osborne.

Fun stories
My 5yo (and me!) had a lot of fun with these stories. It's her first set of non-picture, chapter books and she really enjoyed it!
