It is awsome for the size, color, and appearance. The little timer dings and the salt and pepper shakers are cool. Heavy duty plastic and the size was perfect! Totally recomend

The items in this product were exactly what I was looking for to fill my child's play kitchen. The items are safe for children and are not a choking hazard if you are worried. The salt and pepper shakers are one piece making my confidence in my child not being able to access the tiny beads very high. The material is solid a mix of wood and plastic. Very lightweight and easy to use. I would recommend this product - note this particular group does not come with any type/sorts of food so please read the details.

Bought these for our 3yr old grand, & the absolutely loves them. It's her favorite thing to play with. I think we're going to purchase another set, because she always wants to take them home with her. The quality is exceptional, very sturdy, & durable. They've been left out in the rain, washed, & still in excellent shape. The salt shaker & other food items are so life like, the food items are clearly discernable, & the dishes & utensils sturdy. We just don't think you can purchase more durable, life like, or fun toys, than Doug & Melissa. Don't hesitate, you'll get your money's worth. They'll easily last through several children.

I absolutely love the salt and pepper shaker. My daughter loves this set and it goes great with her play kitchen. Just FYI, it does not come with the food pictured on the box. I thought it did! Either way, it still a great set!

Given the determination the little one had to get into the lowest cupboards and drawers in the kitchen, it seemed time to give them their own kitchen tools. I went straight to products made by Melissa and Doug, as I’ve a lot of experience with their creations and have not been disappointed. The little one opened it at their first birthday party (across the country) and I’m told it one of the tools was in their hand until the cake was offered!

I never had a play kitchen as a child and now I'm clearly making up for it by becoming an expert on all things "play-kitchen" as an adult... As I mentioned in my review of the Step2 LifeStyle Dining Room Pots and Pans Set , I've seen plenty of pink girly sets (not very realistic) and ceramic ones (an accident waiting to happen with my boy) so I just wanted a nice, plastic and gender-neutral set. Melissa and Doug has another dish set, the Melissa & Doug Let's Play House! Wash and Dry Dish Set and while I really love the drying rack in that one, I can't get past the multi-colored dishes so this set fits the bill nicely for me. Overall, this set is very similar to the Step 2 one. Some of the items such as the utensils, plates and cups are slightly larger than the Step 2 version but both fit well in our IKEA Duktig kitchen. (see comparison pictures: Melissa and Doug is on the left, Step 2 on the right) The cookie sheet is small-ish and flimsy - you're not going to fit a dozen cookies on it (see the comparison photo of it side by side with the IKEA cookie sheet) but it gets the job done and looks just fine in the oven. I doubt there is any kid that's going to notice. The spatulas look almost identical to the IKEA ones so if you have those, they will blend in well. However, the real stand-outs for me are the oven mitt (since we didn't already have one), the kitchen timer (yes, it works!), olive oil bottle (wood) and the salt/pepper shakers which are hands down my FAVORITE! I subtracted one star because of the price given this set is almost double the price of the Step2 set but with the inclusion of the timer, salt/pepper and olive oil it is slightly nicer. You can't go wrong with either set. NOTE 1: Do not be fooled by the one product picture... food is NOT included. It's in small print on the front of the box which I clearly missed when I was ordering. I was a little disappointed that it didn't include that awesome chicken leg and mac n cheese (but it's not like we needed any more play food. IF you need play food, I highly recommend Learning Resources play food). NOTE 2: I paid full price for this item. I bought these for a play kitchen at church and it is a cute set that seems really durable and easy to clean. Melissa and Doug is usually always a good quality and I’m not disappointed with this either. The price was also reasonable.

Love this set. Melissa and Doug products rarely disappoint. This is our new favorite brand. So many fun pieces to add to our play kitchen and diner. Would recommend. Perfect size for little hands. Seems very durable.

Excelente para juego simbólico

Adorable little set. I love how much you actually get in this set, as well as how very well made it is. It is the perfect size for even our larger play kitchen. I purchased this several months ago and it has already stood the ultimate test with my destructive little chef, so I predict it will last for many years to come. The salt and pepper shakers, along with the timer, are our favorite pieces. They all look, feel and sound like the real thing, which makes imaginative play so much more exciting. The pot, lid and frying pan are solid and made with durable plastic. Pretty well everything a little chef needs for cooking and serving their next delicious masterpiece (minus the food of course).
