FZONE Aquarium Glass Mini Skimmer Lily Inflow and Outflow Sets for Mini Nano Tanks Filter Pipes(for 1/2inch Tubing)

This is my first time using a inline diffuser/ outflow. Ive been in hobby for a good five years and I've never seen one that's made completely out of glass. I'm really satisfied with the way it looks and functions. This is a new product by fzone and I must say it's a true beauty. The glass work is top quality and just a really nice addition for all planted tank enthusiast. It works as a co2 diffuser and filter output so it's a 2 in 1 item. I've been using a in tank diffuser but never one with a diffuser built in the outflow combo. This item deletes all the ugly co2 diffuser and hoses in your aquarium making it look a lot cleaner. I was skeptical at first but now I'll recommend it to anyone that wants to declutter their fish tank. No more ugly co2 diffuser, co2 tubing, and suction cups in your tank. This product distributes co2 a lot better and more evenly then your traditional in tank diffuser. Overall a Really cool invention/concept and pretty good value for your money. It's going to get a lot of attention from friends and family, noticing this beauty shine. Good bye in tank diffuser and hoses. I'm really happy with purchase and would buy from again without hesitation, if I needed another one in the future.

The quality of the glass for these pipes is really good it only came with one adapter I needed two I reached out to FZONE's Customer support and they responded within a day and can ship me another adapter. The skimmer works great tank looks really clean.

I have had this filtration outlet for a few days now and these are my thoughts on it so far. Pros: Well made glass. strong and attractive piece Good suction cups unlike some glass outlets I have gotten in the past Great Co2 diffusion and dispersion Can be used in place of an air stone if you are not using co2 Outlet has strong focused flow for good circulation Cleans up some clutter in a high tech setup. Mari Condo style.lol. Cons: I haven't had to clean it yet but I know that will be an issue. I don't see a good way to clean in the co2 chamber. Maybe magnets with filter wool or a good soak in a bleach solution will do it. Ill update on that later. The inlet for the co2 chamber is oriented straight down. Over time water from the inlet makes its way into the co2 line. So far not an issue though. I looped my co2 line on the side of the tank to create a trap for the backed up water so it wont make it to my gas canister. Could be an issue for some. Summery: Overall it is a well made and well thought out filter outlet that cleans up a bit of clutter in a High tech setup with some minor issues that are not really a deal breaker but could be for some. In a nutshell it is a great product if the cons don't bother you get it.

I was a bit hesitant based on the other reviews but went for it anyway. My experience has been nothing but positive. This is not a "plug and play" set as you might hope. It takes a little tweaking to get the right suction balance. For me I had to adjust the output of my canister filter so it didn't try to move too much water (the pump is way oversized for my tank) and then tweak the intake balance between the skimmer and screen using the "dial" thing on the bottom of the glass intake piece. On mine the little dial is snug and definitely won't fall out on its own - seems they have the o-ring size figured out. If I left my filter pump on full blast or balanced it too much toward suction from the skimmer, it created so much suction that it pulled air in and caused the gurgling sound another reviewer mentioned. You can see in my pic that I have a nice balance of suction pulling water from the skimmer as evidenced by the water line with the thin layer of scum on it and that it's got a few little sprigs of plants sucked onto it. The bottom also has some little stems stuck on, so it's definitely pulling from both. I keep shrimp in my tank and on two occasions a little guy has been caught in the space between the skimmer extension tube and the main glass it slides into. I have enough moss that baby shrimp don't really get close to the intake so I don't think I've lost any. Looks-wise it's really nice. The lily pipe is basically invisible in the back of my tank. It creates a gentle surface turbulence to help oxygenate, but doesn't break surface tension and release my CO2. As for the sinking skimmer, there is an inverted "tray" on the bottom of the plastic skimmer piece. When you lower the skimmer into the intake, you need to be careful to leave air in that try so it has buoyancy - otherwise it will get sucked right down.

I own two sets of these and they are very nice and everything functions as it should. Glass is plenty thick although you always have to be a little carefull with glass. I lightly heat my tubing when taking it on and off and it will slide off way easier. The skimmer works as it should but personally I take off the skimmer piece and use a piece of filter foam so I still get flow near the top and nothing can get sucked in. Definitely not worth taking off a star since everybody has different needs, that's just what works for my setup since I run my water a little low because of my hardscape.

Product works as advertised, no complaints, except that this product was obviously not manufactured or packaged by FZONE. The box photos and labels do not match the contents, and there is no brand or manufacturing information. No instructions. This is a cheap, generic product; not sure why it's advertised or sold by FZONE. In the past FZONE products have been well packaged, quality all around, and obviously thought through with care for aquarists. Not this. This is just slapped into a box with random pictures on it. Weird.

If the intake gets too much stuff stuck to it, it will cause the surface skimmer to get sucked down below the water level and sometimes the fish get sucked into it. i've lost 3 fish already. Had enough so i cut a piece of tubing quarter of an inch or so and put it on the bottom of the surface skimmer part so the surface skimmer wouldnt bob up and down. Now all i need to do is make sure my water level isnt below it. Also, the bottom piece called the "control knob" doesnt do anything. Even with the rubber gasket around it at the bottom doesnt make it stay in place. The control knob needs to have more surface area with a curve rather than just it being flat. Since its flat, you have to angle it so it fits but it never fits right. Id return everything but so far its the only one I have. I can say however that for my 20 long its pretty much a perfect size. The other one on amazon was way too big for my tank.

I absolutely love these lily pipes on my 6 gallon nano tank, and I especially love the mini skimmer. The glass pipes sparkle, were easy to install and the mini skimmer works like a dream. However, water evaporates quickly in my little tank and so I have to constantly unstick the suction cups and move the glass lily pipe up or down to keep the skimmer working. Today I went to move the pipe again the way I've done it dozens of times before and it snapped right in half. So now I ordered the stainless steel pipes with mini skimmer.
