I've had this french press from Utopia Kitchen for almost a year now and have used it every day. It has held up remarkably well. It's a sturdy, all metal press and comes with some extra screens. It holds just about 1L, and works like any other french press - load it up with ground coffee and hot water, and you're good to go. The press screen does a good job of filtering out the grinds, but like most presses, you'll get a little bit here and there sometimes. The handle is big and chunky and just about perfect. It looks good, and the black coating has been really durable. I do hand wash it 99% of the time, but it has been in the dishwasher (don't recommend) once or twice without damage. Also, it's insulated, so it keeps my coffee nice and hot for nearly an hour, and stays cool to the touch. It's one of my favorite ways to make coffee because it's so easy and straightforward to use. I've also used it for loose leaf tea and it works a treat for that, too! Can't beat it for the price.

I lost this pot! I used to have a glass one, but I left it at my dad's house. I decided on this one becuase it was stainless steel, I figured it'd be easier to clean, and no glass staining. But honestly, the best feature is the insulated double-wall construction, which really keeps the coffee hot for much longer than the glass and looks amazing, too. I can leave it on the countertop. I think this would be a great gift for a coffee lover, or maybe someone who works at an office and wants a better cup of coffee. It'd be nice to make a small pot and have it stay warm. Just turn the arrow on the top to pour, turn to seal and keep the heat in, easy as that.

This is an excellent coffee maker. I love the stainless steel look, the material, and the ease of use. It is sort of a thermos so your coffee remains hot (you have to remove the grains so that it does not taste too strong after a while). Also, coffee pours easily. It comes with three filters, which I love. I totally recommend it after using it for a few weeks now: easy to clean, durable, sleek looking, and functional. The best package!

I am very particular. This one is very sturdy, and has solid construction. The stainless steel looks great, and cleans easy. It keeps coffee hot for your second and third cup, far longer than your typical glass french press. If you’re looking for quality at an economic price, this is it.

This is easy to use and we notice the intense, rich flavor of the coffee. I am enjoying a cup while writing this comment! We set the grinder on coarse, add 1 to 4 or 5 ratio of water and coffee, let it brew in the refrigerator for 12-24 hours and then push the plunger. (I leave the plunger out until we are ready to strain. It will fit in the Traulsen refrigerator - no problem. I don't want to accidentally push it.). The coffee is decanted into another container. The strainer with the grounds are left to partially dry for several hours. It helps when cleaning. We had a glass French press. The plunger was hard to push (great, efficient strainer???). It cracked after 3 years. I decided to get a stainless steel model (SS). I definitely prefer the SS type. It has only been 2 weeks. I don't expect it to break like the glass ones - which did work.

Went looking for a plastic free coffee maker. This utopia kitchen insulated stainless steel French press brews great coffee. It keeps your coffee warm. The screen assembly loosens easily to make the fine mesh screen ridiculously easy to clean. Dealing with the spent grounds not an issue; compost or swirl with a pot of water and feed my plants directly. The pot looks great and pours well. I can’t imagine liking a coffee pot more than this one.

I bought this for boondocking in our RV. Works great, keeps the coffee hot and the stainless steel is beautiful! You can’t go wrong with a French press. It makes a small amount that is perfect for two people.

Bought this metal pot as I'd just had an IKEA glass one break on me. So mostly I'm comparing it to that one but I'll also address some of the other reviews. 1. It keeps coffee hot, not sure how long people expect it, its not a flask. But when I make a pot to myself, it is nicely hot for a couple of hours. Certainly no need to rush. 2. It cleans nicely, it also leaves no dregs, so its very easy to simply tip the grounds out into the bin, it isn't a muddy gloop like others I have used that doesn't drain the whole water. Goes in the dishwasher but mostly I just give it a rinse. 3. Very sturdy and looks nice, can't see it breaking any time soon. Can't really think of anything else to say about it really, it's a metal coffee pot that works as well as I'd hoped.

per il prezzo che ha fa perfettamente il suo lavoro, poi ho scoperto che non tutte le french press hanno il filtro doppio, questa ce l'ha e ha anche un filtro in più di riserva. la doppia parete mantiene il caldo per qualche ora e permette di non bruciarsi. Rispetto al vetro non si può vedere il grado di intensità della bevanda, che sia thè o caffè, ma per chi, come me, che si fa un litro di thè so quanto mettercene dentro affinchè risulti dell'intensità desiderata e così è lo stesso per il caffè. Però questo rispetto al vetro è molto più resistente, sia per lo shock termico dell'acqua sia per gli urti.

I love coffee and this beats Bodum hands down! It is so beautiful and elegant and it keeps the coffee warmer for much longer than the other brand. Plus it’s durable. I broke the glass insert in the Bodum and to replace it would have cost more than this press in total. You get an extra strainer for the future too! A caution for first use is that the plunger is snug and you have to gauge the slow pressure to prevent a possible sploosh! However, the tightness ensures not even one tiny ground gets in your coffee. For coffee loving friends this would make the best gift. Why I gave it only 4 stars for use was that you have to tell by weight how much coffee you have left in the pot as you can’t see through the stainless steel! Buy it from this seller; it is cheaper than others for the same pot.
