Rock Paper Scissors: The gripping, twisty psychological suspense thriller and instant New York Times bestseller from the author of the Number 1 Netflix smash hit, His and Hers : Feeney, Alice: desertcart.in: Books Review: Brilliantly plotted - Rock Paper Scissors is one of those thrillers that completely pulls you in and doesn’t let go. I absolutely loved this book and tore through it in no time. The setting plays a huge role—the icy cold, snowbound atmosphere feels claustrophobic and unsettling, perfectly mirroring the tension simmering beneath the surface. Alice Feeney uses multiple points of view to great effect, gradually layering the story and keeping you constantly reassessing what you think you know. The pacing is sharp, with short chapters that make it dangerously easy to keep reading “just one more.” What truly elevates the novel, though, is the twist—clever, shocking, and deeply satisfying without feeling gimmicky. The subtle hint of paranormal spookiness adds an eerie edge, heightening the mystery rather than overpowering it. Smart, atmospheric, and brilliantly plotted, this is a standout psychological thriller that fully earns its five stars. Review: The story was good but the condition of book was blah! - 🪨📃✂️ Rock Paper Scissors ✂️📃🪨 "Why do people only learn to live in the moment when the moment has passed." Things have been wrong with Mr and Mrs Wright for a long time. When Adam and Amelia win a weekend away to Scotland, it might be just what their marriage needs. Self-confessed workaholic and screenwriter Adam Wright has lived with face blindness his whole life. He can’t recognize friends or family, or even his own wife. Every anniversary the couple exchange traditional gifts – paper, cotton, pottery, tin – and each year Adam’s wife writes him a letter that she never lets him read. Until now. They both know this weekend will make or break their marriage, but they didn’t randomly win this trip. One of them is lying, and someone doesn’t want them to live happily ever after. I was thinking that this has the potential to be one of the best thrillers I have read till date and I guessed it right. The characters were quite interesting and had a very strong persona which made the story more engrossing as I was always on the edge thinking who is believable and who isn't. The story as a whole was written perfectly as it did leave me with few questions which shows that the author knew the importance of not giving all the answers to the reader by the end and leaving them with something to ponder over. So yeah I am going to ponder over a few things in the coming days and this story is going to take up a large portion of my thinking time for a few days. Also this book can be a great read if you want to come out of a reading slump because the length of the chapters are quite short and also won't take much of your time and energy if you try to finish it quickly.

Best thriller Read
♥️When Adam and Amelia try to save their marriage life embarks on a journey to Scotland. Where the secrets and past unravel slowly finding answers. It works on the question, how well do you know the one you love? ♥️A story of thrilling, jaw dropping twists. A meaningful life lesson, and no guessing works here. You are taken into the people’s minds and their thoughts and colors behind them. It makes you get a wrong idea on people you trust. Twisting and gripping. ♥️I am really thrilled and happy reading this masterpiece; each page gets you into deep thoughts and keeps you in check. I loved the characters and the way it took me too deep and loved the way the background setting and plot development. The suspense is neatly placed and the depth of humans thoughts and manipulation where exactly to score and much more addictive.Really satisfied as I couldn’t guess the ending. ♥️MY FAVOURITE LINES: 💕“Affection is like playing the piano and you can forget how to do it without practice.” 💕“Some people say that marriage is like wine and gets better with age, but I guess it all depends on the grapes.” 💕“Secrets are only secrets for the people who don’t know them. They can morph into lies when shared, and like caterpillars turning into butterflies, beautiful lies can fly far, far away.” 😍A must read novel will sit on the edge of the seat, dark and thrilling. Highly recommended for those who love psychological thrillers with suspense 😍 The purchase was smooth and book was in good condition

a feeble attempt at suspense
The first half of the book is quite boring and tries hard to be a thriller, only failing to achieve that sense of mystery and creepiness. After 200 pages when the book finally picks up, it offers a twist that reverses the reader's opinion about the characters. I like the way the husband has been portrayed. I hate him from the start, and rightly so at the end. I guess his character was the only worthwhile takeaway from this book. I look forward to sleepless nights or fear when I read a thriller; none of which this book offered. Wouldn't recommend it to hard core thrill or mystery fans. One of my favourite quotes from this novel: You and I had the kind of childhoods that are better forgotten, but seeds of ambition grow best in shallow soil.

Brilliantly written
This one’s a masterclass in thrillers — easily top five material. Starts calm, ends with your heart doing cartwheels. The plot twists? Sneaky geniuses. Brilliantly written. You’ll gasp, you’ll flip pages like your life depends on it, and before you know it — finished in one sitting.

loved it !!!
This book fully lives up to the online hype. The story was so good that I stayed glued to my Kindle for a day and a half straight. Unlike many stories that take time to build, this one captures your interest from the very first chapter.

Rock Paper Scissors: An Easy to Read Crime Fiction
Enjoyed this book! Would recommend for an easy read if you're into psychological thriller/crime fiction. The story line is gripping and intense, filled with twists and turns in the form of secrets, lies and deceit. Criticism: the chronology of events can be somewhat muddled as the story is narrated from the viewpoint of different characters and across different timelines. Overall: 7.5/10.

This is the first book I have by this author and I was suprise how deep it went. This is a gripping thriller execellently written. Adam and Amelia want to save their marriage and go to Scotland to try and rekindle it. Will it assist or will the marriage fall apart? They have been married for 10 years and as the book develops there are twists and turns which have you wondering which way it will turn. The style of writting is very good and there are many twists. You read plenty as you want to know more. The characters are well developed and details are known by letters Amelia wrote to Adam over the 10 years and by thoughts of Adam. I will read more of this author.
