Zymox Otic Enzymatic Ear Solution for Dogs and Cats to Soothe Ear Infections Without Hydrocortisone, 1.25oz

We use this on our large dog as soon as he begins with the ear shaking. It does not have any odor and a couple drops is all it takes. His ears seem to stay cleaner now and not as many trips to the vets. So far his ears have stayed cleaner as we check them daily. Would recommend trying this.

This was actually incredibly efficient for getting rid of my dog's ear fungus buildup. After 3 days of using, the fungus had clumped up and moved towards the outside of the ear where I could easily remove it. I'd have bought it so much faster if I knew it would work that well. It didnt seem to bother my dog, and he definitely got pretty immediate relief.

Thank you Zymox! My cat was not acting as himself. He was walking around with a low tail, seemed out of it and was hiding more. I thought maybe he had an ear infection as he was shaking his head. I had used this product many times I. The past for my Bloodhound and it always fixed his ear problems. This seemed to work for my cat as well and I am so grateful. I will be a lifelong consumer of this product and will shout from the mountain tops to other pet owners that this product is a miracle.

It will help sooth a yeast ear infection BUT will not kill the infection- You need to use a Chlorhexidine ear wash solution (like Vetnique Oticbliss Dog Ear Infection Treatment & Ear Cleaner Flush | Dogs & Cats Antiseptic & Antifungal Ear Wash 0.2% Chlorhexidine, 0.2% Ketoconazole & Aloe Vera) to keep the yeast from proliferating, and use this product to keep your pup from scratching. I ordered this product from AMAZON for the same price Chewy's was selling it for- but no longer deal with Chewy because of the issues below regarding asking for an OTC drop they could recommend. YES it was dismissive, and if your corporation does not allow your Pharmacists to recommend anything, then there is really no reason to utilize Chewy services anymore. I can call Fry's/Kroger Pharmacy and they are more than happy to recommend a product to discuss with my vet.

Works well if you catch it early. Has definitely saved me some vet trips. I have a doxie cocker mix and his ears get infected easily. This stuff helps a lot. Glad they have an option without the hydrocortisone

Want to write a review in hopes that it helps out another dog parent. My dog is prone to ear infections from yeast. I was looking for a product to treat at home and came across zymox otic hydrocortisone 1% it had great reviews so I was excited to try it. Day 1 started out great, was super easy to apply and appeared to be legitimately working for my dog as the smell from her infection was way less strong and less irritated. 4 hours later she continued shaking her head a ton so I was questioning when that goes away but think thats kind of normal. But than she tryed to itch it alot and noticed more redness it appeared to leave a noticeable mild rash I had done some more research and it appeared there are side effects to using steroids and some dogs are allergic to hydrocortisone and one of the side effects are rash!! I was disappointed as I found that out cause I really felt it would work outside of giving her a rash that caused more itching. But than I found this version of zymox that is hydrocortisone free and decided to try that as a last resort and am on day 4 and there is no rash and this product is really working!! Annoyed that I'm $40 down now by buying two bottles of this stuff but hoping this will save me way more money in the future. I guess what I'm trying to say is if you have a pup that you know is more skin sensitive and the infection is mild I recommend trying the hydrocortisone free version first!! It's hard to pinpoint what ingredients your dog might be sensitive too but hope this helps somebody!!

This is a regular part of my dog's first aid kit - wouldn't be without it. Works well, great price, easy to use, and nips ear discomfort/infections in the bud before they go too far.

Purchased this for our Daughter who has a Cairn doggy who was having some severe ear itching and leaning of his head to one side. She specifically asked me to order this product, the Hydrocortisone Free version, which I did. Upon receiving the product she sent me an email that the Box and bottle showed the version 'with' hydrocortisone 0.5%'. There was a bar code sticker on the outside of the box that had Hydrocortisone Free printed on it but the box and the bottle both were with the 0.5% solution. I offered to notify customer service but she wanted something for her doggy right now and went ahead and used the 0.5% solution. Thankfully after a few days, she saw improvement in the itching and leaning of his head and it appears that things have resolved. So, even though this incorrectly labeled product worked, I cannot give the overall purchase any better than a 3 due to the mislabeling that has taken place. I would suggest that all bottles of this 'non' hydrocortisone version be reviewed to see if all of the present stock may have been mislabeled. My Daughter lucked out in this instance but some other dog owner may find their pooch has issues with the 0.5% solution.
