I am building a garage with attic storage and have never built stairs before. Found this book and ordered. Very detailed and helpful because is exactly the type of stairs I am building. Glad I found and purchased this booklet.

This is a good book for those building their first stair case
This is a good book for those building their first stair case. It focuses on simple stairs and includes a lot of information about figuring out height and depth of stair treds. It could be better on structural calculations. It does not address fancy exposed winding staircases but if you are building those you probably don't need this book.

Too Much Fluff
Lots of fluff, like filling up space with tread and riser tables that can easily be found online. Book 1 is included inside Book 2, so why even make a separate Book 1? The “For Pros by Pros Building Stairs” book is much more comprehensive. I appreciate the author’s YouTube channel so I’m just going to consider this to be a donation. No need for an entire series of stairs books though unless you are just trying to grift.
