I am using these in my kitchen. Where I would have used a paper towel I use these instead. When there's enough of them for a load they get washed in their own laundry load. Obviously I still need paper towels for some things, but these are fantastic for 95% of cleaning. History nerd moment incoming, but pretty sure this is what linen rags were kept around for in medieval-to-early-modern europe. Anyway! I havent bought paper towels since I got these, I'm still working on the two rolls I had when these arrived, if that shows how dramatically my paper towel usage has dropped. It's been months. I think I even bought more shop towels than I needed because I've given some to a friend so she can start doing this too. Anyway, great towels, very durable, very happy with them!

In attempts to reduce our waste I purchased these shop towels/rags. They are a great alternative to paper towels. I keep them accessable in my kitchen in a basket. They clean up spills, and do a great job wiping counters & regular cleaning. They are inexpensive enough that I am ok if we throw some out after cleaning a particularly icky mess. These towels are similar in thickness and texture as a cotton tee-shirt. They do shrink when washed ( not surprised...they are cotton ) but do not unravel (all edges are finished). Very pleased with my purchase and quality.

Good shop quality rags intended to wipe your hands from grease and oil, undercarriage crud and such. These were never intended to be used for detailing nor for soaking up water because they don't have the thickness to absorb and hold water or water based products. Knock over your beer or soft drink don't expect these to soak it up unless you use a dozen of them. Keep a roll of paper towels around for that. If you use these rags for grease and oil hand wiping and parts wiping do you really think you can save them up and throw them in your household washer???? Good luck with that. Take them to a laundromat. Back in the day most shops and gas stations got their rags from a laundry and uniform company and those companies rinsed these rags in solvent to get the petroleum based products out of the rags before machine washing them and they always leached out a little color even after repeated cleanings. It was always the newer rags that leached their color. Not the older faded rags so much. These rags look pretty fresh (new) to me. Some might have ugly stitching repairs. Because shop rags are usually recycled over and over, as they became torn or had a hole punched through them the rag vendor or servicer would simply stitch them up to close the hole or even stitch on a patch. Either way it wasn't pretty but did not prevent the rag from continued use. I have never counted my bulk rag purchases but if I did and I was shorted some then sure, I can send the whole lot back to amazon. It would be better (if I have the info) to contact the original vendor and see if they will send me what they shorted me. I'll bet most vendors would throw a few extra's in. If the price for the 100 pack is really cheap like these I'm not gonna sweat it over 5 to 10 rags. Beyond 10 somebody is being dishonest if I were to be short on every order. Now I feel I should be sheet counting my paper towel and toilet tissue rolls !!!!

These towels are a great buy. They are reasonably sized for any job. I bought these because I ran out of old tee shirts to use. I am pleased with how they are able to clean parts covered in grease and oil, however, these towels really do not absorb liquids very well. They are also a little on the thin side. I managed to snag a couple on some bolts and they did get holes and tear. If you’re using them for wiping and cleaning parts, they work great. If you spill liquids you’ll need to use multiple rags or use another absorbent cloth. I would recommend these towels for the light mechanic. For the amount of towels you get for the cost, it’s a great buy.

I purchased this item to use in my shop. The item arrived on time, you can't beat the pricing on this. The only discrepancy I have is the towels seem to shed fabric a lot but other than that great item
